Plus most of these people I've seen so far are peasents who work long hours to make ends meat. So they probably actually all wake up at 2 in the morning and start working around 4 ish

damn ya'll for making me see some of these flaws

Yeah, I hate reading game reviews for games I enjoy for this reason. Sometimes, a few of the negative points stick with me and influence my enjoyment of the game. But this is a near-universally acclaimed game. The other reviews that roll in several days after a game's release seem to follow a trend: If the game is generally bad or has universally acknowledged problems, the headlines are more straightforward ("[Game] plagued by performance issues, repetitive gameplay, etc."). But when a game is good, you see a lot more clickbait headlines trickling in ("[Game] could've been GOTY, if not for this one fatal flaw" or "Here's why this critically acclaimed game is ultimately a failure"). It helps me take them less seriously.

i gotta say, i was truly disappointed with the first 5 or so hours of the game. i played a ton today, and my opinion is reversed. the keira metz and bloody baron storylines are absolutely phenomenal. i had to quit after beating Family Matters. what a well-written game. it's so hard to stop playing and i know im gonna think about it all day at work tomorrow.

honestly, though, i prefer the construction of 1 and 2, where it drops you in a little sandbox. you knock all the quests out, then advance to the next little sandbox. i like more of a focused narrative. i know people love doing the filler stuff like monster nests and shite like that, but i pretty much do it just because i want the xp.

i have an innumerable list of things that piss me off in this game, but im pretty sure most will be patched down the road because of widespread complaints. from a quest and story standpoint, it doesnt get much better than this, though. more than makes up for the faults

It's a fun game, but it hasn't exactly made me refuse to put it down. It's not a bad game, I just don't think it's a Skyrim killer, and that was what I was expecting.

Ive been powering through to try to get close to finishing before classes start Tuesday.

Witcher 2 never really grabbed me. I started it twice and never got past the first city you go to. This is my favorite RPG since the Mass Effect games.

I loved Skyrim and DA:I, but I've found this story much more enjoyable. The main story missions all intertwine is such a great way. Ive found the side missions in this to be handled extremely well. Some of them have felt they could have easily been main story missions.

The soundtrack is great too.

I dont really get all the Skyrim comparisons or any other comparisons.

Witcher has its own unique twist. Very good story IMO.

I have played over 250 hours of skyrim. Its just a different game with so much more re-playability.

I view the witcher as the ability to play "their" story where as Skyrim it is "your" story.

I actually decided to help the tree but it asked me to go find three things and I was tired and didn't feel like going on a three gold fetch quest so I said frick it and killed it.

I'm about to head to the island to see what Kierra is up to

yea it feels more like dragon age inquisition than skyrim, as in it has a story you're playing more than making it your story. but there's aspects of skyrim in it as well. and right now I'd say it's better than both.

That tree spirit looked like trouble, plus its cronies attacked me so it had to go.
