Ok, got into the 2nd playthrough today... just got past the machine village section - is there anything in particular I need to worry about right now other than just enjoying myself and the story if I want to ultimately plat the game?

Nothing is missable. You will have the option to go back into the game with a "Chapter Select" type mode.
I would just enjoy it. If you want to try and get some of the bad endings along the way for efficiency sake, you can look those up.

Just got to the last part of playthrough b... Probably 30 minutes or less away from c... That reveal at the bunker... (I actually almost came on here and wrote the prediction about it all being a sham yesterday)

I really don't want to go to work and stay home and play the game now... Holy shite!! Also, the way they started path C... the whole title sequence and everything, it's so obvious that THIS is the story they set out to tell.

Once I got to the level aspect of C, it really picked up.
I've started to realize that the story just takes all that is good at random intervals and just crushes them underfoot to make you feel bad.

You've pretty much caught up to me. I've been knocking out alternate endings and side quests.

Bc I thought it was the usual "play through again with minor differences" and get an alternate ending that is not the real ending to the story. When in fact, the "ending" of parts A/B is just the intermission of the game.
I'm not a big fan of playing games through again and I didn't read any reviews before playing. Just picked it up bc of a gif Carson posted on the combat system, which was a style I had never seen before.
