My life doesn't let me dedicate 40 min of uninterrupted time playing a game anymore. Unless I do it at like the wee hours of the morning, but then I still have to get up and have a productive day. So, I just watch streamers and recap vids.

Interesting thing is that a lot of streamers make alt accounts so that they can play with troll builds in silver/gold.... and a lot of times, you'll see them completely destroy their lane... and still lose. And they complain about how brain dead most of their teammates are.

Obviously, they'll climb, because their team has to be really bad to hold them down at the alt elo. But if those high diamond players can't carry every game because the teams are that bad sometimes.... it just shows how frustrating it can be for players that are just slightly better.

A concept lost on riot and why I quit. Simply didn't care enough about the game to play enough to let the average work itself out for me to climb.

It wasn't the time needed, necessarily, but the mental torture of playing with figurative potatoes for most of the games superceded the mild satisfaction of winning.

Indeed. We wrecked shop last night.

I'm just gonna play Miss Fortune from now on. Her early game is stupid strong, and her Q just absolutely decimates enemies during the entirety of the laning phase.

I run armor yellows, magic resists blues, and lethatlity quints and reds.

After getting serrated dirk first item, your Q on the second bounce is busted as frick.

Had a nautilus with 1/3 of his HP flash away in lane behind a minion that was almost dead. I Q the minion, second bounds kills him.

Once you finish Ghost Blade and Duskblade, you're a nightmare.

It really is.

Then again, this game is easy as frick to win if your teammates can stop being retarded kids with down syndrome for two seconds.

Seriously, and to make matters worse... they made it HARDER to get back to your elo. They purposefully start you at a lower tier at the beginning of the season.
Who thought this would be a good idea? Seriously? I'm being forced to climb by carrying potatoes?

The games that I do win, it feels like I've got to drag the retards across the finish line. I'm usually just pissed off after winning because it didn't need to be that hard. And I'm royally pissed off when I lose b/c I got stuck with idiots that were even dumber than the idiots on the other team.

I don't mind losing when my team plays well or when the other team just goes Ham for a game. It's just the terrible decision making that drives me crazy.
For example, you are running a 1-3-1 comp.... the 3 have one job... one.... don't fricking fight. Nope. ADC trist jumps in to try to kill a low health tank.
That was it. FULL Nope. Done. Going to play ARAM forever.

Recently, when I have won ranked games I jump out of my chair in joy.

I give myself a nice "let's go!" cheer and queue up again, ready to restart my climb.

Then I lose my next two games and I'm back in my league of depression.

Climbing isn't really that hard. I just started playing again about 1.5 months ago since I stopped last season. I was Plat 2 last season, and got placed in Silver 3. I am currently Gold 1 63LP with 44 games played.

I just spammed Jungle Gragas and have a 65% win rate. As long as you play smart, don't feed, win your lane and dominate the game you will climb.

Good players win the games you are supposed to win, and win some of the games they are supposed to lose. You don't have to be a mechanic god to get into Gold, or even Plat. High mechanics are needed in High Diamond and above. Just by building the correct items and farming correctly you will be richer than your opponents in Silver/Bronze/Gold.

Figured that out myself. Took my account from over 40 games below .500 hardstuck silver 5 to 18 lp silver 2 and nearly back to 50% winrate in a week. Just forcing myself to greed less has changed everything. That and getting small doses of gold/plat elo playing games with momo and translating the pressure in those games into silver has been freelo. The random 7 game Lee Sin winstreak didn't hurt either.

Been winning at about a steady 65% clip for about a week.
ETA: 62% over my last 63 games, apparently.

If you support, play an ardent support. If you adc, play a hyper carry.
If you jungle/top lane, play a full tank and build knights vow.
If you mid lane, you're irrelevant.

Play Ori. The ult alone wins soloq games.

You can also use your teammates going full-chimp to your advantage.

False.

Again, I don't even know how skilled my teammates are in most games because we are down double digit kills in the first 10 minutes. I'm not saying I deserve any certain rank, but I just need my teammates to not be inbred retarded.

I don't need them to carry, get fed or win lane hard. I literally only need my teammates to not be 100% pure trash. I just need them to be average and we can win more often than not.

I will forever stick to my theory that your skill has at most maybe 10% to do with your climb. The other 90% is lucking out and not having feeders, ragers, trolls and morons on your team.

I shouldn't have to have 20/3/15 type games every single game to get to silver I. That's retarded and makes no sense.

9 times out of 10, if I lose a game, it's because someone or multiple players on my team afk's, ints or goes 0/10 before 10 minutes.

9 times out of 10 if I win a game, it's because the OTHER team had an afk, inter or someone who feeds hardcore very early.

Very rarely do I lose and think "That was a fair and close game".

Very rarely do I win and think "It was evenly matched and we just came out ahead thankfully".

I don't feel I'm Plat level or above, but the ridiculousness and shenanigans that occur in silver and bronze is absurd.

I just got to Gold tonight in ranked 3s. So now I've gotten to gold in flex, solo and 3s. Don't think you get anything extra for it tho. ¯\_(?)_/¯

I love mid but I guess I'm just fated to be a jungle main. Every time I try to play something else, I'm reminded of why I learned jungle in the first place. It only took one game of a Nid giving Syndra double buffs at level 4 and NEVER coming mid again to make me realize I just need to play jungle. 4 losses in a row mid, switch to jungle and win 6 of my next 7. I guess I shouldn't complain but man Orianna is so damn fun.

I mean, you're kind of proving our point. Someone plat 2 should not have to play >30-35 hours to not even be back at their original tier. 44 games is a lot to me, especially since they made it easier to win promotional series' you lost the first time.
