I do the opposite. I find my ranked games go much smoother if everyone is happy with their role.
I play whatever the team wants me to.
Granted, I don't play ranked often. For some reason people tend to get MAD AS frick and its not fun.. but the normal matching system either puts me against babby-team or tryhard-team. I either stomp or get stomped in normals, I really should play more ranked

Yeah, I guarantee you its not mine. My ranked experience goes like this:
1. Ignore ranked all year
2. Want cool skin from being gold or whatever at end of season
3. Try to get gold
4. Get gold
5. continue to ignore till end of next season
Those chucklefricks sitting around 1300-1400 elo do not need to flip the frick out if someone misplays.

I just played my first game against people in months and jungled ali. I had heard it has fallen out of favor but it was still pretty legit. maybe people have just forgotten how to play against it.
edit: I actually have like 6 invites it looks like, so if anyone else wants DoTA 2 let me know.

Yeah, the s2 trend of tanks jungling has kind of died off and given way to bruisers. Tanks clear really slowly now and it's tough to keep up unless you get good ganks.

The normal jungles I see are Vi,Xin zhao, Hecarim, and Jarvan. People who have great engages for ganks.

It's extremely beneficial for a team if your jungler can rattle off good ganks, and with people warding more and more, having great engages for ganks is pretty much a must. Zac is also a great jungler.
Hecarim jungle snowballs so hard with ganks. He just dives with his ult and they rape you if you're squishy. Not much you can do, and he just snowballs so hard.

I basically did nothing but gank, as thats how you play ali jungle. luckily the people on the other team were bads and died

The problem with fidd is he is a glass cannon jungle. In the jungle you usually want someone who you can put on your front line. That's another reason why you don't see teemos played much anymore top because in the teamfight phase they are essentially like another adc.
