I don't let it get to me. I think that's when LoL got really really fun to me. It's not that I don't care, but I let go of the frustration of retarded teammates. I do everything in my power, but anything I can't help, no point in crying over spilled milk.

My main got placed in Bronze 2. Out of my 10 placement matches, 4 of them had afks on my team. I really don't understand how my luck can be so bad. I went 5-1 in the games that were 5v5 the whole game, but 0-4 in the 4v5's. I was PISSED.

LoL is the champion Moba for a reason.

Its time is coming to an end. DOTA 2 already has a massive player base for a game that isn't released, and the pro matches already get significantly more viewers than LOL matches. Valve >>>> whatever mediocre company does LOL also. Their interface and secondary market is fantastic, and is allowing people to make careers off of DOTA related content. They're going to win this war. Book. It. LOL fanboys.

Insanely untrue. LCS has boosted the popularity of LoL even more.

Yeah. Some of those LCS matches have in-house audiences of 30k+. Not to mention internet viewers.

Someone sounds like a DOTA 2 fanboy.

Just look at twitch for the population differences...

LOL has around 145k people viewing when DOTA 2 has around 30k.

For starters, it's free

Dota 2 is free.

And less punishing. Dota 2 is far more challenging, and thus more rewarding when, for example, you land a kill.

Maxing out on items is also a frequent occurrence in LoL.

I disagree on that completely.

Dota is much more punishing on people dying which will make games snowball a lot faster. Which will make the game less competitive. Dota is also much more predicated on getting your carry farmed to win the game for you. LoL still requires more of a team effort.

Kind of like in actual sports.

Bad players, or those playing recklessly, will hurt the performance of the entire team. There isn't a built in buffer where you can die 2-3 times and still not be terribly far behind.

For that reason, I would certainly say Dota 2 requires more of a team effort.

Can you play dota2 vs bots or would I have to subject myself to get murdered online from the very beginning?

Never ever ever playing LoL. Not because it doesn't look like fun, but because id get thrashed.

Yet dota2 oddly intrigues me

I realize LoL does have bots

I played dota 1 a lot back in the day a ton and loved it. It's just with deaths being so punishing it makes a player almost useless in the game and it's not fun when you can't do anything. Which leads to more people leaving games and having uneven games. Dota's main objective usually is to get your agility hero fed so he can carry the team.

It's better to get murdered than trying to learn on bots. Dota is much more punishing on new players too because deaths are more devastating.

You can play against bots, but there is also a matchmaking system in place, so you'll never be playing against others who aren't within your skill range.

Thanks bros

Didn't realize dota2 was a valve thing until I researched.

Yeah, you can. Play them to learn how to control yourself in the game, maybe find a hero you like, test out items and see what skills you will be facing. If you are looking to get into playing people, don't stay in bots too long. You're going to suck in matchmaking early, but there are a LOT of shitty people out there too.

I've seen many games in dota where it looks like it is snowballing one way and the other team is able to turn it around. shite, watch almost any Na'Vi match at the I2 last year. I don't know how LoL is with regards to that, but Dota is far from a "well they got a couple kills early, frick it i'm out" kind of game. Though you will of course get those idiots.

Queuing up with randoms, yeah, you're going to have those games where someone feeds their arse off and it's tough to come back from. It's a team game, not a solo one.

That said, no one cheers in Dota2 when wards are killed. LoL has that.

I don't what games are like at that elo. My MMR is so high that even though I'm in bronze 2, I'm playing Silvers in ranked matches. It doesn't matter what division you're in when you play ranked. It matches you based on your MMR (the new hidden elo).
