If it shows any of those babies getting nuked, that's where I would have issues. Would still play, but if it's a cut scene, I'll close eyes or skip.

Power Armor was around pre-The Great War. Power Armor was deployed in the Sino-American War starting in 2067. The Great War was in 2077. The presence of Power Armor does not necessarily suggest Brotherhood of Steel, as it was issued for military usage prior to that.
ETA So the idea of a second holocaust seems a little absurd to me.

Power Armor
A lot of good lore there.
Pre-War variants
-MP-47 prototype medic power armor - a power armor prototype that has the ability to administer Med-X, and features an on board voice module which is able to (and will) sound alerts if it detects an enemy presence. This armor was planned as an automatic medical supply dispenser, meaning troops would not have to be evacuated for medical treatment. It has the same appearance as the standard T-45d. It is also mentioned in its manual that it would administer a lethal dose of chemical substance to deserters, however this function had not been implemented in the early prototype stages.
Post-War variants
-Tribal power armor (Ashur's power armor) - a suit of power armor that was repaired and maintained over the years with parts from various sources and having taken a rusty yellow color, resulting in a unique looking, patchwork suit of power armor.
-Outcast power armor (Linden's Outcast power armor) - a suit of power armor with a black matte and rust red paint job, instead of the usual gray metallic, no other changes.
-NCR salvaged power armor - a very damaged suit was more or less restored by NCR engineers to working order. The joint servomotors have been removed, so in practice, this is just an armored suit crafted out of power armor.
-Scorched Sierra power armor -The Scorched Sierra power armor is a T-45d power armor that has been heavily modified by the NCR for its officers. Unlike NCR salvaged power armor, scorched Sierra power armor is still fully functional, retaining its servo-motors.

Time to start saving for a new GPU. Everything in the game being broken down and old is no reason for my computer to also be crap.

yup, I really hate anything that has sad dog parts, 100% of the time. I have even quit games for sad dog stuff before as well, all of a sudden I'm just "I'm done" drop the mic and walk away.

I'm not a fan of sad babies either but the dog seems to be an important part of this game.

DLC doesn't really concern me with a game like this. It might be good, but the main game will deliver in spades.

Probably a companion. If it dies, completely your fault.

Never seen preorder dlc I considered relevant or worth caring about.

this is kinda my reasoning, the babies will be in a CS for a split second, in a fake alternate universe 100 years in the future, with no emotion attachment at all.
The dog will be your companion the whole game

I rarely ever use companions in these games. I might for a time to complete some quest line the companion has but after that I like them to go somewhere safe because I hate when they get killed. I don't like them getting in my way during a fight or ruining my sneak up to someone.

I relate anything baby related in movies or games to my son nowadays, and seeing that woman holding one as the nuclear blast comes towards them is gut-wrenching.
The companions are optional and work just like they did in Skyrim. Typically bullet sponges and it takes a lot for them to die, most of the time because you accidentally landed a grenade launcher shot in their area. Fawkes in FO3 was great because when I got him, it was close to the end of the game and I was at a point where I just wanted to explore. So I usually just let him run in screaming, taking everyone out, and then I would collect loot and look around. Dude would never die.
