The trailer appears to switch between scenes that are pre and post the nuclear apocalypse that created the world we know in Fallout 3. However, did you notice that one of the apparently pre-apocalypse scenes contains Brotherhood of Steel soldiers, an organisation that was meant to have emerged after the apocalypse?
That’s led us to an interesting theory: could civilisation after Fallout 3 have developed to a roughly equivalent state that it was at before the nuclear apocalypse over decades, only for history to repeat itself and for a second nuclear apocalypse to occur, setting up the events of Fallout 4?
It’s worth noting that the phrase “our soldiers were right, war never changes” is uttered around the time that the Brotherhood of Steel soldiers appear, reinforcing the idea that history repeats itself.

I dunno if it will be shipped to me sooner if I go ahead and preorder but I like the physical copies for xbone

Let me re-phrase. Dogs are loyal animals, and I love them for the most part, but anyone who values an animals life over a human's, regardless of what type of person they are, loses all respect from me.

In certain quests they referenced the area of Maryland and it's said they they have significant humanoid tech. The Commonwealth! that's what it was called.
I wonder if this game with include that. I know it was rumored..

How are they sure the pre destruction scenes had brotherhood of steel members? The govt developed power army for the military prior to the event...

I'm fairly confident we'll see it this year, but everyone else will claim 2016. I can't see it taking 2 years to come out.
I don't know about 2015 release though... Skyrim was announced 11 months before release.

You have the option to save one of the following from certain death. The one not chosen dies:
Hitler
Your faithful dog

I don't know. A lot of the stuff I've seen in screen caps is very similar to what we've seen in 3 and NV (those flying sphere robots, for instance). The BOS suit did look updated, but you'd have to figure on a lot of design changes. And I wouldn't think that civilization could make it back to the point they showed in the trailer.
But who knows. We'll see in the reveal.

Yeah, I thought the Brotherhood of Steel just used pre-war military tech. Maybe made some small improvements.

In like Flynn. Possible release dates?!

Correct. The brotherhood firmly believes in hoarding pre war tech.

I'd answer that (don't think it's the same question), but that's a road I don't want to go down in this thread.

Might get one at E3 (June 16-18)

A bunch of guessing at this point. Nothing hinted at in the trailer or on the site as of yet. Reveal is on the 14th.

I don't think they are sure. Just speculation from what was in the trailer.

Power Armor was probably around pre-apocalypse
Posted on 6/3/15 at 10:04 am to UltimateHog
Could be same armour, but a different faction post war?

Looks great, but better not have sad dog stuff or I won't buy
You wouldn't buy Fallout 4 because it has a sad dog?
