I may just use a walk through to actually progress thru FO3. I got tired of dying 5 minutes outside of Megaton every time I tried to play. That 10mm pistol was of little help

I think one of the more consistent criticisms I've seen on the series is the bland color schemes. Maybe Bethesda listened.

The bland is what gave me that feel though. But if if its a major complaint then i dont blame them.

I liked the bland color schemes, but I don't care if it is changed.
It gave the game a hopeless, desolate feel.

I'm not sure of the direction, but first thing I always do when leaving megaton is clear out Springvale School. Lots of ghouls and some raiders that are easily taken out with the 10mm. Will help you get a good feel for how to play the game.

I don't mind it myself, but I guess you kind of feel saturated after playing it a long time.
Probably the point.
Locations and music is what really creates the mood for me.

This is the hardest part of Fallout 3.
It sucks at first cause you aren't leveled up yet and you have little ammo and no money. Try doing the Wasteland Survival Guide to level up, you'll get raped if you try doing some story missions too early.

The "Fallout" series of video games, set in a future where humanity is just beginning to rebuild after a nuclear war, has taken players to the ruins of Washington, D.C., a recovering Las Vegas, and even (briefly) outer space. The trailer for "Fallout 4" has just dropped, and it appears that it's set in a brand-new part of the "Fallout" universe: Boston.
And, of course, what would post-apocalyptic Boston be without post-apocalyptic Fenway Park?
In fact, judging by this shot, it looks like whoever lives around future Fenway has turned it into the hub of a brand-new town -- called "Diamond City"
Now, I'm curious -- what could the "Fallout" version of Fenway possibly hold? It's unlikely that there's still a legitimate baseball league still going on, so ... gladiatorial combat? Well-protected farmland? A secret facility in which science has gone wrong? "Fallout: New Vegas" had a whole group of people who found an Elvis Presley impersonation school and decided to make him the basis for their culture, so maybe we'll see a society dedicated to David Ortiz.

What if they found a cult that was taking orders from the head of Ted Williams?

Could be a mistake but
That was in an email from GMG

Well.....

Fallout 4 will launch in 2015, according to Bethesda's online store. Its estimated ship date is listed as "TBA 2015," both before and after Fallout 4 is added to your cart.
This could certainly be a placeholder, both because the store page explains, "Ship date subject to change without notice. We will always update this product page with the latest information we have," and because the store is operated by ThinkGeek, who may not have accurate information from Bethesda.
When contacted for clarification, a Bethesda representative told IGN, "We haven't released a date."

I did that my first attempt. It's how I became familiar with over encumbered in Bethesda games.
BUT WHAT IF SOMEONE WANTS TO BUY ALL THESE RUINED BOOKS AND EMPTY CANS!?!!

in that spoiler link to reddit someone linked earlier, a guy who supposedly worked on the game said they're planning on a november 2015 release

I honestly think it comes out this year. What a big year it would be if it does following a weaker 2014 year.
