I get to the point of just letting them kill me. All I ever get are assholes that spam Elizabeth's Mushroom and have limitless HP. It's just not fun.

'If you can't beat 'em, join 'em' is the general mantra of DS PVP. I find jolly co-op to be much more rewarding.

I may have to play offline my first time thru to get used to it and then create a nice pvp build.

Man I need to finish the dlc for the first one. Got it like a year ago and never played

What am I missing? Just more joyful rage?

The DLC has some of the best content of the whole game. Best DLC I've ever played.

Artorias, manus, and the dlc dragon can all eat a bag of dicks.

Fun dlc, but all three of those guys gave me fits.

First time I played the DLC was on NG++. That was a mistake. Most fricking aggressive bosses I've ever played.

So me and a few buddies are getting the midnight release in BR and making a game cave at our house. We are looking to get a 12 pack of some beer worthy of drinking on opening night for Dark Souls II.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah, that's the one I have pre-ordered, and I generally hate collector's editions too.

Well the storyline* is not suppose to follow the first one in any significant way so theres not technically a reason you should but if you have the chance I would say definitely play DS before you play DS II just so you know what you are getting into. Its a soul tearing game that will make you rage quit more than you ever have so going in with an idea of the pain is a good idea. Since DS is cheap right now, Id pick it up, play, and see if its for you before you drop 60 on DS II and run the risk of not liking it.

*Storylines in Dark Souls are almost non existent. They are there and are probably some of the most in depth and rich storylines of any video games but they are so well hidden.. its like digging in the ground knowing that there are diamonds waiting to be found but you aren't sure where to look.
