Count me in the group that really enjoys FE games but in no way considers the game play better than anyone else....

I dunno about that. FE is my favorite Nintendo series and everyone is good. But the base gameplay is far too simplistic to call it the best. The value of it is in the challenge, characters, and the various options you have when playing.

Imo, I probably love the base gameplay of Valkyria Chronicles most, while TW has the best integration of management into combat for strategy games.

Valkyria Chronicles

This would be my choice too. Just a great game.

This is me too and I would love if the Switch got a VC game. That would be something that might entice me. FE...not as much.

Is this bitch really sold out everywhere?

frick Nintendo, seriously. If I can't get one now, I won't ever buy Nintendo again. Even if all other consoles go under.

Calm down. Most places haven't even started accepting pre-orders yet.

At the moment it seems they once again won't meet the demand.

The Kotaku Q&A with Nintendo on the Switch and how many questions were left with 'no comment' was extremely worrying to me.

How in the frick do you release a gaming console in 2017 without gameplay streaming capabilities or video app support (Netflix/HBO, etc).

I honestly am considering selling the one I preordered if it is as bare as that Q&A possibly made it out to be. Could probably buy two Switch's with what I make.

I played the frick out of those as a kid on my 64 and GBA.

I'll be selling the xbone paper weight that I haven't turned on in months and upgrading to the switch as soon as I can.

Respawn Entertainment designer Mohammad Alavi shrugs off suggestions that Titanfall 2 could appear on the Nintendo Switch, stating that the game would not fit on the console.

It felt like a long time coming, but video game fans have finally been able to get some finite details on the Nintendo Switch. After a Nintendo Direct event specifically focused on the new console, gamers were able to learn exactly what Nintendo has been planning, as well as details such as the hybrid console’s memory and screen resolution. Nintendo also confirmed a number of games for the console – but it turns out that Titanfall 2 is unlikely to be receiving a Switch port any time soon.

This comes straight from Titanfall 2 senior designer Mohammad Alavi, who discussed Nintendo’s new console on an episode of Drunk Tech Review. Alavi appeared on the episode and was more than a little vocal about the chances of the mech-based shooter appearing on the Nintendo console, explaining that he feels the Switch is unlikely to get much by way of third party support due to the console being “underpowered.”

As a response to this, the question was then asked as to whether Titanfall would appear on the Switch one day. Amavi replied “f**k no! No, you’re not going to be able to fit Titanfall 2 on the Nintendo Switch.”

It sounds personal for this guy. Not sure this is driven by actual attempts/info or just by an emotional response.

Either way, it's not like it would be surprising.

They are ignoring the fact that they are releasing a tablet. The only reason they're releasing in early March is because Nintendo's fiscal year ends on March 31st. They want to be able to tell stockholders and potential investors their new system is flying off the shelf (which will be true).

Yup. They are rushing quite a bit. I do think the games are actually being strategically released, but everything else is probably slightly behind. And knowing Nintendo, they gave Netflix the specs yesterday just to keep everything secret.
