1.5 is fast enough to play live and as long as u don't pull host it won't affect other people's connection. However your connection may suffer some times but not frequent

Good deal, there is a reason the government made a pledge to roll out high speed infrastructure a few years ago - some place just can't get access to high speeds at the moment.

yep my buddy 2 miles from me has 3.0 so i guess after i have it a month they will bring the pipe on down

I've been playing for years on 2.7. You'll be fine. Netflix sucks even at 3.0. Buffers every so often. You get used to it.

Probably only have DSL available and with DSL, your max speed depends on how far you are from the CO.

You'll be fine if the xbox is the only thing using bandwidth. You cant do anything else besides that at the same time

Edit: My parents had 1.5 about 6 months ago, and if I was the only person online in the house, I would ping around 40-75
