this is fastest internet i can get. How will it work with xbox live? also will it work for netflix? I wouldnt be running both at the same time. But wondering what to realistically expect, and are there any options to improve what im trying to do? thanks

if the xbox is the only device using up bandwidth at the time i think you will be fine. as far as online gaming id be more worried about your ping than overall bandwidth.

prefer it, but open to suggestions. What will give me best results?

yes i will only be playing xbox live online at once.. or netflix at once. Never both at same time. 1.5 is best i can get, i just wana know if it will be sufficient for what im trying to do. Dont want to waste money if it wont work. I just want to play some ncaa or cod online sometimes.

You can still play online although streaming is a bit of mess at that speed.

hardwiring will always give you the best results.

that's not what he is asking. he is asking if your xbox be the only device in your house/apartment/condo etc that will be consuming bandwidth.

Netflix will suck. Gaming should be passable.

I used to have a 3.0 mbps DSL connection and my netflix sucked. Never got more than 2 bars - so good luck.

I used 1.5 mbps connection back in the MW2 days. All I played was FIFA and mw2 and it was very laggy. Some days I had a great connection because I was with a group of local guys who would pull host. Other days it was horrendous. Netflix was unbearable with random buffering.

The most you'll pull is about 0.8 and no, that is not enough for online gaming or video streaming on an Xbox.

Not enough for netflix, but I've gamed on 300kbps DSL as recently as 4 months ago.
