Gaming community has done rosters and such, but you are pretty much asking them to develop the entire game.

Are there people out there that will do this for every single college football team's uniform, stadium, field, etc... and do it in a timely manner?

Doubt they get it
If the collegiate licensing company feels like they can make money off the logos being in the game then they'll absolutely get it. And I don't believe that's a hard sell. Stadiums are different but the logos and university names won't be a challenge I don't think

They have 3 years until the tentative release date. That's plenty of time to get the license. I think they can get it. 2K easily got 10 teams for their NBA 2k16 career mode last year so I don't see it being too difficult to obtain

Even without current NFL licensing, look at what 2K sports did with All Pro Football 2K8. That game is considered the best since NFL 2K5 and it's the best one on PS3/Xbox 360. unfortunately, it's not playable on PS4s otherwise it would be in my inventory. Full licensing isn't required. We don't need crazy unrealistic stadiums like they had in APF2K8. Just give us some large generic football stadiums and let us do the work with the rosters/uniforms

As soon as the Kickstarter passes the goal which will be very quickly relative to when it goes live, EA will see the possible dollar signs and release an NCAA game

Btw, a few days ago EA released a statement saying they could possibly look into making an NCAA football mobile game in the near future but that's as far as they could go right now. It's kinda funny how they said in January they had no plans at all, then IMV comes along and says they'll make one, and then EA says well maybe we can make a mobile game. Seems like EA got scared. I think we'll have an NCAA game in 3 years. Don't know if it'll be IMV or EA, but I'll take either at this point.

My nephews plays for a D1 team, and I remember him having to decide if he wanted in the lawsuit. I forgot to ask him how that turned out.

I think all the checks have been sent out so he should've got one by now if he was in it

Maybe not for Directional State, but all the major teams would be done with the quickness.

Plus it only takes one person willing to do the work and post it online. There are presumably 128 people in the country who would be on board.

Well IMV is trying to get it where they have the teams, stadiums, logos, etc. The only thing we would have to fix is the rosters. But if they don't get the license, then that's where the work from the community starts. Well have to find people to customize everything.

Isn't this exactly how EA was?

No EA did the entire real rosters and just didn't name them. The idea now is if they just make the rosters totally random and generic, so numbers, attributes, appearance, etc don't correspond then it will be a loophole.

I could see still see this being challenged by some class action lawyers when everyone only buys the game knowing you can go straight home and download the real likenesses

Yea when EA was doing it, you knew it was Tim Tebow. He was left handed, same throwing motion, same number, haircut, was born in the same place, etc.

So basically what IMV wants to do is make all players random. Deshaun Watson may be a slow white guy and wearing #19
