MLB The Show 14-RTTS Story Thread

I enjoyed reading along with everyone's progress through NBA2K14 MyCareer so I thought we could do the same with this title.
I haven't played the show in a few years but after creating my character (3B/IF) I hit about .280 with a homer in the showcase. Got drafted in the mid 4th by Seattle, but opted go to college and come out after 3 years. With the extra attribute points I received from my college years I was able to do better in the showcase. I got drafted by the Astros with the 1st pick of the 2nd round.
So far I'm about 6 games in with the AA Corpus Christi Hooks and am tearing it up batting over .400 and a couple home runs. Already 1 error in the field though.
I'll update further as I progress and look forward to seeing how you guys are doing.

frick yea! I did great in my 1st game and did shitty my last 2 games and got picked up in the 4th round at pick 28 by the Atlanta Braves. I am seriously debating on going back to college and just sticking it out..

In my third game of the Showcase. Not doing so hot right now and projected to get drafted in the middle rounds. Might go to college.

Drafted in the 5th round by the Rangers. Decided to go back to 4 year university.

On MLB The Show 2012 I'm in year 20 about to call it a career....

Made me a young RF. Projected to go in the 5th round to Jays, so I decided to go back to college for two yrs. Got a little experience under my belt, went back to Todd's showcase, and finished as a 6th round pick to the Mariners.

Went in the 6th to the Rockies (I think)
went to Juco 2 years went back to showcase and launched two homeruns and went in the 2nd to the Nats
ETA:
Power hitting 1B with speed. Beat out 2 infield singles in the showcase. Hitting a little over .300 5 games in the season with 1 Triple 2 Doubles and the rest singles

Drafted 2nd pick of 4th RD by the white sox, at the rookie series I didn't hit particularly well, a HR and a couple of singles, but my fielding was top of the charts. So far my AA team sucks but I have 3 Homers in 3 games and about 6 RBIs with a perfect fielding percentage as a Short Stop. Can't wait to get off of work and jump back into it!

How are you guys approaching the creation of your player? Are you molding yourself after a certain player or are you making your own guy?

I basically made myself. I am not smashing homeruns in the bigs IRL but i molded my player after what I did in high school and college.

I just made a player, name is Franchise. He is 6'2 200 lbs. I used some of my pre order stubs from Game stop and got some of his attributes up. He is currently 83 overall . didn't mold him after anybody.

I made a speed/power combo CFer, sorta like Carlos Gomez. I went 1/15 in the Showcase but seriously got robbed twice on diving catches and had 2 Left Center warning track outs. Just got drafted by the Tigers 25th pick in the 2nd round. It's really cool the options you have to go somewhere else. How will it impact me if I go to a 1-year Juco team? I don't like my path with Austin Jackson in front of me
