I wouldn't call this game a shooter

The HUD is fine. It's not a shooting game

I never said it was

I wasnt aware that having a HUD = Shooter. It could be a romance simulator, I'd still think it's too much on the screen. I like the more minimalist looks

ill take a look and see if i can find a way to play it

I know you didn't, but it's not obtrusive at all. if it were more action oriented it would be a con i'm sure. the map is also expertly done. the HUD gives you the feeling of being behind the mask, and it's less about usefulness than immersion.

I couldn't have been more skeptical about this game. I hate FPS period, but also considering I was playing super Metroid when I bought it on wii, I was concerned that the platforming would be clunky at best.

you know that feeling you get when you're playing a truly great game. I can't really describe it, but this one gave me that feeling. it's exceptional. i'm playing with the wii controls and I personally think they're really awesome...the only complaint I have is the layout for missiles. it's fine unless you want to charge for a super missile and then it's kind of clunky.

ocarina of time still holds that distinction for me, and it's not even close.

i don't know where it ranks for me yet, but i doubt I've played 5 games better than Metroid prime.

Purchased a new 3DS to replace my old 3DS XL for Sun and Moon preparation.

In doing so I picked up the remastered OoT and MM. Starting with OoT Remaster then moving to MM.

Saying this.. MM has always been my favorite Zelda game since launch, but this replay of OoT is making me rethink my position. OoT is a damn master piece.

We've had enough of this discussion. This is a metroid thread. Piss off.

regardless of which one is the better game, ocarina was first

from 2d to 3d...and there was no adjustment period, it was epic and nearly perfect when it had every excuse not to be.

i'll be honest, playing prime gives me the ocarina feeling.

it's fricking great, it brings a 2d experience to 3d flawlessly, it's atmospheric, the music is excellent, the gameplay is refined, the game is epic...like i said, i doubt I've played 5 games better than Metroid prime.

If you're talking about ocarina of time in a thread about a different game. It stands to reason that game is really fricking good
