Absolutely, but you can watch a story synopsis on YouTube to familiarize yourself.
You do have to invest quite a bit of time to get enjoyment out of it. If you don't have the time then don't bother.

if you have ps4, ill sell you my copy on the cheapo
it's a great, refined game, but it's one that you sink all your time into once, then never play again. there's not much story at all. it's scattered in a bunch of main missions. i just beat mission 31 and got a nice amount of story, but i hope there's more in act 2

To be fair, there's very few long cut scenes in this one compared to the other games. I enjoyed the opening.

Awesome I have to redownload the update file because save point and game point are different. Whatever the frick that means...THEN see if a reinstall worked and it won't so then I'll have to reboot my ps4

Holy shite will you look at that. I can skip cutscenes AAAAND it works. Now I have to wait until Sunday to play the game. I really enjoyed my night of pushing up on the left stick and debugging the game

I do. I'm annoyed it took me almost 3 hours to even play the game. So now all I want to do is play, but I can't until Sunday.
