Marvel Heroes Omega - Release Day is 5/23

Got into the beta for PS4 since I don't PC game.
Always wanted to try it when it was only on PC.
Anyone else getting it?
For anyone who doesn't know what it is: Think Diablo in the marvel universe with a whole bevy of heroes to choose from.

I know the game had some issues but they shut down servers?

They let you play every hero to lvl 10 to try them then you need to grind a currency or pay real money to unlock the others.
They give you one free unlock.
I unlocked Colossus since he is my favorite x-man since the 90s.
Played him to lvl 12 last night. The game is basically diablo with superheroes.
It is fun.

Open Beta starts 5/23 and there will be no wipe of progression so you can play with no worries of wasting your time.
If you buy a founder's pack or have access to the closed beta, early access starts 5/19 so you get the weekend to jump in ahead of the free loaders

This is just Marvel Heroes for the PS4, correct?
If so, is this a different server environment or do you play with the PC crowd as well?

Play with PS4 people only. Some of the gearing and stats and heroes available are different.

Did you purchase these characters or use the eternity splinters? I'm just curious how long of a grind it is to get one character's worth. I found it in the store yesterday afternoon and put about an hour in last night.

I purchased Blade with the starting splinters (we got 900 instead of 525 in early access because of a dev snafu), got War Machine in the $16 founders pack, which came with 500Gs, so I bought another 500Gs to unlock Ghost rider.
As of right now I am sitting on 650 Eternity Shards deciding who to go with next. I started with 375 after unlocking Blade so in the time it took me to grind 3 60s I did not get enough to unlock another "mid range" (they all cost 250, 525, or 725) character.

up to 4 lvl 60s and all have made it to the highest tier of difficulty.

I just jumped into it. I've only played with Nova and Cyclops and up to Lvl.10 with both. I unlocked Cyclops but didn't go any further with him before I shut it off last night. Seems pretty fun so far.

Cyclops is a fun character by all accounts. Nova will be my next character. He is awesome. Got him to lvl 45 in the closed beta

Awesome, glad I chose wisely. I really don't know much about the game so far. It's FTP and just has purchases of character packs? Any important info I should know? I never played the original Marvel Heroes.

It is technically free to play, but it heavily encourages spending, as any F2P game should. Inventory upgrades can only be had by real money. Boosters can only be had with real money. Certain characters and all costumes are real money too.
Everything else can technically be earned in some way shape or form.
I spent $60 on in game currency and $16 on the War Machine PS+ exclusive pack. Treated it as a deluxe edition game after playing the closed beata and loving it.
Now I have extra inventory and bought Ghost Rider with Gs. Colossus and Nova from earning the currency in game.

I went with starlord for my character and I'm liking him. I enjoyed playing with cyclops too. I hope they add characters pretty frequently like the PC version.

I'm gonna ride Cyclops as my main for now and try out a few others before deciding what I want to drop some $ on. With so many characters and me not having much time recently to play I really want to get a sense of who I enjoy playing with before spending.
I haven't tried running with anyone else yet. How is the co-op?

I haven't really played with anyone else either outside of random invites while farming public areas. I hear it needs some work because everyone has to literally follow the leader. The game is still in beta so they are working on quality of life stuff like this.
I will hopefully have Nova to 60 by the time the weekend is up and he will be my 5th lvl 60
