Oh this is bringing back memories of the D3 launch. after having these same issues in OB it's hours away from official release and the servers are absolutely busted. This is going to get very interesting.

I want to play, but I can't join the servers my friends are on.. What's the point Can't believe they actually blocked servers.

it's really really stupid.. and people actually think this isn't a big deal.. this is a HUGE deal. My friends can't join me, they want to play, but they can't join me, I'm tempted to go on and tell them to not even bother with this game at this point.

Well I created a character last night that didn't save. I was thinking maybe it only saves after I pick a server. I wasn't sure what server you and sic were going to do, so I just quit.
Is that they only way to save the character?

Yeah your character isn't created until you pick a server. You can use the benchmark to create and save a character that you can import though

I could not get on last night for 2 hours so I gave up. This morning before work i logged in to get my EA/CE items. I'm sure by the time I get home I'll be stuck spamming the Num-0 while I watch TV again.

I'm starting to wonder if they can even be "fixed". If they really were this unprepared for the amount of people in the game...the future doesn't look bright. If the only solution is to wait for enough people to get frustrated and quit...I will more than likely be one of those who do.
The game is fun, but I haven't been able to play the last 3 nights due to the server being full and them removing the que system. So far it has been a nightmare for anyone who can only play at peak times.

I kind of expect issues like this for every new multi game release, so I'm not really shocked or pissed. Everything will be taken care of.

There plan for the JP servers below...no word on NA EU yet, but if it's going to be a week for them we should count on at least 2 weeks. If they didn't figure this out last week and plan to start "as early as this week" I don't know what to say.

Its typical to have issues at launches but never have I seen a company lock players out with "server full try again later" for hours on end. Asking the players to play a lottery daily in the hope that they may actually be able to join the game they payed for is a bit much. Take it down and fix it or attempt to find the problem. Letting a fraction of your players participate while the rest spam the login system hoping to get lucky is a very bad approach.
