Madden Championship: Dubby vs Problem

On NFL Network right now. I wish I could get paid to play Madden. 
I've played Problem many times, dude is the Truth. I consider it a victory if I keep it within single digits

I watched a good bit of the quarter and semi finals
I didn't watch Problem play but I did see a lot of players playing "fig d"... although it wasn't all of them.
Do some of the best players in the world just use cheeseball gimmicks? I will say that the game I watched with Dubby was legit without exploits being used

How are rosters determined? Watched a few minutes last night and a few names I noticed were randy moss, Ricky Williams, Cunningham and other former players.

First time watching either player. Dubby was cheesy AF with his shotgun spread offense and audibling every single route. No respect for that. Problem was cheesy with the rollout to the sideline waiting for the wr the cross the field a couple times. It's not "sim" football, but it is what it is I guess.
How do you get involved in that stuff? I play DC here and there, and tried messing with MUT this year but just can't get into that mode. Seems those are the only two routes to go to get into tournaments. And by now everyone's MUT teams are stacked and I'm playing with more Gold card players than Red. Lol.
