Say you built up a top 20 squad in the world.
Say that the people who were there from day one, aren't competing like the new people.
The new people, some of the old and yourself having to work twice as hard to maintain greatness and achieve a high rank.

How much is too loyal?

Do you put loyalty aside and strive for top contributors or do you stay loyal and stay stagnant while everyone else passes you by?

This is why I stopped playing competitively. When I was in a clan, we'd basically have 2-3 teams in said clan. You'd have the premier players, the average guys, and the rec guys. Our paid in money leagues were premier players with a smattering of average guys. I personally was on that team and one with some of the fun guys, and while I don't like losing, I was so much happier with the ~20th place team than the team that was at the top.

With every serious competitor we gain, that leaves more room to take time off overt now and then for others. At one time we were placing top 30 with 15/30 members putting any points at all. Got rid of those but there still are people not helping as much. Some think bc they're OGs that they can play by different rules... They were there from the start though.

I think this thread is weird because you haven't mentioned a specific game. I feel like this could have gone on the MSB.

Whats the harm with leaving the OGs in the squad that helped create it and make it a good team in the first place?

We require like an hour a day to reach the minimum... Not that crazy. Especially if you break it into fragments.

Bc when the pushers are busting arse and wondering why others get special treatment while the OGs have declined, your talent tends to leave.

It's not all the OGs. Some of them are still my best guys. One left bc for a while it was loyalty over competition.

Then the game came out with team events and team tourneys so now every member's participation counts as before it was just for a high rating. High rating attracts better ppl. Better people want to win the rewards.

I'm talking about marvel contest of champions but it is pretty much about leading a team over a specific game. Every alliance/clan based team I've been on with any game has guidelines for everyone or they aren't sucessful. This is my first time leading.

Depends on where you're at. If you really want to be ultra competitive and some original guys don't...well, that happens. Difference of opinions and goals. Doesn't mean it has to be a big deal. People go in different direction sometimes

And for the "I don't have time" crowd (which I'm one of usually) that's fine...you don't have time to play competitively so find a team that suits your style. Don't get pissed b/c everyone else wants to be better and you're holding them back

I made another feeder and a few go, others act like its a huge insult. they were fine with sending other ppl to the feeder who have been here just as long.
