I purchased a 15ft HDMI cable to run to my PC tower and it works for the most part but occasionally it blinks to a black screen. If I move my tower and connect with a shorter cable it works fine. Are there a higher grade of HDMI cables at this length to prevent the blinking from happening? What features should I look for? Is this too long of a cable to use? Obviously I'd prefer not having to move my PC to use on my 4K TV.

I have a Monster Platinum 4k cable that's about that long and it works great and has a beautiful picture. I paid $86.00 for it though.

you dont need a higher grade cable, the one you bought just sucks. purchase another cheap one from a different brand. i have this one and it works as well as any $86 possible can. because HDMI is a digital signal, you cant do better or worse. if the signal is getting there it is perfect

there, saved you $75. go buy me a nice bottle of scotch or some margaritas

Thanks, I've tried a couple different cables with similar results but that's cheap enough for me to give it another try!

Ding ding ding. Unlike past cables such as composite, s-video, component, etc, an HDMI cable is an HDMI cable.
I did buy some Monster cables for my GC and PS2 back in the day but they were only $20 a piece used.

HDMI cable is an HDMI cable

That is not true when you start talking 4K, HDR, etc. Not all HDMI cables can handle 18Gbps throughput as specified by the HDMI 2.0 spec. Some cables might pass a 4K signal at 24Hz, but not at 60Hz.

Also, the quality of an HDMI cable can come into play over longer distances.

I bought this cable for connecting my Roku Ultra to my 4K HDR tv:

For over 25+ feet, you probably need an active cable like:
