You would say the same thing if this thread title was "Let's talk about all the times we have had sex"

Yea. They have been having decent sales leading up to it and Cyber Monday. I bought a nice power supply and case already.

I am building another one though mine is only 5 months old. Going to give my current one to my nephew when I am finished. He wants to get into PC gaming.

I'm thinking about upgrading my current PC. It will be two years in February since I built my current setup. I think the case and power supply can be reused. I'm not sure about the graphics cards. I have two 6970s running in Crossfire but I haven't kept up with what has come out since then so I don't know if they are stout enough for next year.

SSD drives are dropping in price so I may go 2XSSD with a humongous SATA HD behind them.

Does anyone have thoughts on which current processors offer the best bang for the buck? I prefer Intel so no AMD please.

I might line up at Micro Center on BF if they have a good monitor deal.

Yeah. I was just going through Tom's Hardware forums and my 2600K still looks to be in really good shape. I think adding SSD, maybe more RAM and going multiple monitors is the best upgrade path right now. The CPU, MB and graphics that I have look to be in pretty good shape unless I want to go $$$$$ for incremental improvements which I do not want to do.

AMD won't be coming out with a new CPU(22nm) in 2013, but new APUs.. so those prices will stay the same.

The 8xxx is suppose to drop in January, so look to pick up some 7950/70s on the cheap in December. Should see some great deals from AMD.

Why don't you wait until GTX 7xx in March to upgrade? You will be buying the same parts you purchased 5 months ago.

Order you a Korean IPS from $350 and be done with it. 2560x1440 makes everything look great.

Hell yea it is, I wouldn't even waste an upgrade on Haswell. Would wait for Skylake or Ivy-E.

I have just upgraded to a 3770K but some of my programs (Aperture/PS) could benefit from the 2 extra cores. So when Ivy-E comes in maybe January I will be jumping in on that upgrade. Think I will skip the main stream socket this time around.

Asking my more knowledgeable friends. Are you looking for the best price or an alternate to Samsung........or both?
