I had kept trying to burn my rockets to get my orbit away from it and I couldnt do a damn thing about it. Luckily no Kerbal's were injured during this as it was just a satellite.

One of the most photogenic/addicting games I've ever played. Now that I've pretty much mastered orbiting Kerban, time to go to Mun and Duna.

Sunrising over Kerban

Also does anyone have any tips on rendzvous and docking two crafts, cause I'm trying to recreate the Apollo-Soyuz mission...

It's basically a mod where you can install a computer on your spacecraft that helps you fly it

mechjeb makes things much easier. Surprisingly it doesn't take away from the fun either. I really need to learn how to dock two ships but it is so painstaking and I just know I am going to cause a catastrophe.

There is no such thing as "a lot" for a space sim.

and you get your 22 bucks worth and a hell of a lot more from KSP.

It is well worth it. I was iffy on spending it but have spent so much time playing it. More than many full price games. Pull the trigger puff.

Was getting ready to fly around the space station the other day and was able to get a picture of a solar eclipse.

Yes I was trying to take the picture while taking off in this next picture. Bad things happened to Jeb Kerman.

Man I just can't get into the space planes. It just feels as though the physics are all wrong in normal atmosphere flight. Maybe I need to hook up my joystick.

still trying to figure out the controls to this thing. love how its not spoon fed to you. but damn its one hell of a learning curve. found that youtube videos and this keyboard map helped a lot.

tried building a rocket without watching any youtube videos and just going off the tutorial. no such luck. watched this youtube video which told me i needed a parachute and a rocket decoupler. videos kinda old so i'm sure there more i'm missing but its a start. just built my first rocket with a successful launch. had to figure out how to decouple the rocket and use the parachute, which was just to hit the space bar at each stage. but after all that i was able to get my kerbals back to the ground safely. not sure if i should of got them out of the capsule once they were on the ground. wasnnt sure how to do it...

game seems fun enough. just realize i'm gonna have to watch a bunch of youtube to get the most out of it

eta: how does the cost of different parts matter? not seeing a dollar amount being deducted from when i create a rocket. not seeing the fuel amount or how to add fuel either...

This guy makes great tutorials. Here is the beginners one.

I think the costs will come into play later. Like challenges of doing things on a budget etc.

A little bump. I picked this up yesterday on the Steam sale. I figured I didn't have much to lose at $13 if it wasn't good. Well, my doubts have been erased. I really dig it. I've been busy crashing rockets and getting Kerbals stuck in orbit all day. A few have made it back. One went on a Mun mission, but he missed and is now in a distant orbit.

I picked this up on the sale as well and I can't stop playing it.

Just built my first 3 staged rocket, got my module into orbit, only to have it crash on the other side of the planet.

O well, I got into space at least
