Just finished The Last of Us
Posted by LesGeaux45 on 8/2/17 at 10:58 pm170
Oh man what a game The gameplay was extremely fun and the story was just incredible.
Also not sure how the graphics were on the original PS3 version, but the remastered PS4 version was beautiful.
Probably a top 3 game for me. Can't wait for Part 2

Did you play the DLC? I have yet to do so and I have the remastered version as well.

Definitely one of my favorite games ever. Great story, good voice acting, and stunning scenery.
Can't wait to TLoU2!

IMO its a good reason to own a PS. It is a must play title.

Yeah it was one of the reasons I decided to pull the trigger on a bundle on Prime Day and trade in my Xbox One. I had heard so much about the game and it came bundled with the console. It didn't disappoint
Haven't played through the Left Behind side story yet but will probably give that a shot soon.

The Last of Us was the first survival horror/action-style game I'd played. So once I got the play style down and stopped dying every 3 minutes, I loved it.

I actually finally played the DLC about a month ago. It's interesting but it is not long or anything. I played it on the hardest difficulty setting since I knew it would be short and it made it pretty fun.
If you love the game then I would suggest it just to get a better idea of the characters back story.

Its not a survival game in the less bit.

You have to survive to win? Super mario 64 was a great survival game as well.

The Last of Us is a third-person action-adventure survival horror video game created exclusively for PlayStation 3, and was later remastered for the PlayStation 4. The game was developed by a portion of the employees at Naughty Dog, while the other half of the company went to develop Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception; established for the purpose of creating new intellectual property as well as continuing the Uncharted series simultaneously.

This game and Horizon ZD are the sole reason I bought a PS4 and M/KB adapter, both delivered.

I bought the game for pretty cheap when I got my PS4 a couple of months ago. I started it and played maybe 20 minutes but found it fairly boring. It didn't seem like you really did anything other than walk around and watch cut scenes.
Based on the popularity of the game and the responses on this board over the past few years, I'm guessing it ramps up in a big way, correct?
I've been stuck on MLB the show for a while now, but could use a little nudge to move on to something else.

It has light survival elements. The perfect amount.
Real survival games suck arse. Exercises in tedium

Yeah, still not a survival game. If that is the case, every game is a survival game since you survive to stay alive. Survival genre includes games where everything in game is the enemy. Including zombies, the cold, lightening, starvation, etc.. You must pace your resources for defense of enemies both external and internal.
What a miss used word here.

Boy oh boy
The beginning is BY FAR the worst part of the game. One of the few games where it just keeps getting better and better.

Regardless, a fantastic game.

Its similar to Uncharted in this way but Uncharted is actually better. Those games have a lot more action. The action in Last of Us is very slow and boring. The story isn't anything I haven't already seen in movies. Its not special there either. This is a very overrated game.

It reached a peak and sustains it for me when you arrive in Boulder.
Loved the whole Ellie freaking out over giraffes moment also earlier. Might be my favorite part of the game.

The Uncharted games are horrible. 4 was well-made but still pretty hollow. Just nothing to them. The Tomb Raider games were much better as far as vanilla adventure games go.
Last of Us gameplay was tense and brutal. Story was vanilla, but the execution of the narrative was brilliant
