Is it blasphemous to think that Bioshock Infinite is better than Bioshock?

Don't get me wrong, I loved Bioshock, but Infinite is flat out fun as shite right now.

I really liked BI but the original had a creepiness that BI didn't have.

I love the original but it's combat is cumbersome as frick after playing Infinite. Constantly having to reload and eve up during battle; the splicers are every but the bullet sponges as the enemies in Infinite.

Rapture is the saving grace of Bioshock, as the story falls flat in the third act, which culminates in a terribly lame boss battle.

Infinite isn't perfect but the story, gameplay, and Elizabeth elevate it passed the original - in my opinion anyway.

No. In my opinion, Infinite has the best story and gameplay. Bioshock 2's gameplay was better than 1, but the story was worse.
