After my xbox 360 got the RROD 2 days ago, I've decided to switch over to ps3. I'm gonna wait until Christmas time so i can see what deals they come out with. Which games should I pick up with the ps3? I know I'm gonna get madden 10 defenitely.

a bunch of the good games that came out a while ago are really cheap...but majority of them came out on xbox also. i would go with uncharted and mgs4. prob get both of those for a good price.

if you play online, don't. I've had both and the xbox is much better for online play imo.

Infamous is a good exclusive.

The PS3 version of Arkham Asylum allows you to play as the Joker in the challenge boards.

Resistance and Resistance 2 are pretty good FPS.

Beware, PS3's have their own version of RROD. Just cost me $150 to get mine fixed and I was without it for almost a month....Glad I had my 360 to fall back on but that month was long without NCAA10

some good ones have been mentioned already. valkyria chronicles is a super fun strategy/rpg that you should be able to pick up for a song. little big planet is a really innovative platformer--some of the user-created levels are as good as the game itself. and you can get great games like pixeljunk monsters, fat princess, and even final fantasy vii at the psn store.

Completely disagree, plus, xbox loses a lot by charging for online service.

The only difference between online play is that xbox has more people. Do you really want to pay for that?

60 Gig PS3? They seem to be the ones mostly getting the YLOD. Speculation is that its overheating likely from having PS3 and PS2 hardware crammed in there with insufficient cooling fans.

80 gig MGS4 edition and on no longer have PS2 hardware.

Guys, if you don't want to pay for the service, than that's your prerogative, but for the minute charge of less than 4.50/month, you get much more out of the NXE than you do from Sony's store. I have both systems, and I can objectively state this as fact.

The obvious benefit of the PS3 is the web browser, but without flash, I think it is useless. The main benefit of the 360 is Netflix streaming access. I also appreciate the new Last.FM integration that is coming along. The Facebook access is give or take for me, but it is going to be available nonetheless. What you are also forgetting is that with a Gold membership (the one you pay for) is that you get a bunch of perks that non-paying Live members don't, such as access to demo's early, free themes and gamer pics, etc.

Don't use the $50/year argument to detract from the Live experience, it is well worth it. Would I rather free? Of course, but I'm OK with the way it is now.

Killzone 2 is a must have. Modern Warfare 2 looks like it is going to be sick. Also Operation Flashpoint 2 looks like its going to be very solid.
