If I was to get a PS3 today, which games should I pick up?

I have a feeling The Last of Us is going to increase ps3 sales exponentially. I've been thinking of getting one and was wondering the best games to get for it. Obviously Uncharted but any others you guys can think of?

not really sports. I jumped off that bandwagon when I realized NCAA/Madden was the same thing every year. I like shooters sure but any game that is good I'll like. Fallout/AC/Deus Ex/bf3. Any game with an awesome story (like deus ex) is what I'm looking for

when the ps3 first came out ... i got need for speed carbon ... i love that game ... probably the best nfs game .. also, i think everyone that owns a ps3 should be required by law to play through resistance .. the "campaign" is my fav campaign i have ever played .. hope you enjoy!

Uncharted is the only game I can think of that you wouldn't have been able to play until now.
I like the games a lot. That and the show are the only things I play on my PS3

I agree, even though the systems are as cheap as ever, something tells me that this will be a gem for PS3ers but won't convince people to buy a system if they didn't already have it.

Yesh. I played one of them while I was a truck driver, and it kept me up way past my bedtime. The only bad thing is I was finished with it in about a week.
