I was wrong about Uncharted

I have been playing through the whole series the past couple of months. I didn't like them years ago when I played them but after replaying them I changed my mind. It's a great series.

I loved that time I had to hide behind those rocks and shoot those enemies.

My favorite memory of uncharted is breaking into ancient ruins that were ALREADY filled with mercenaries! Bam Kapow gotta shoot my way out!

They are ridiculous for sure. I still like Indiana Jones and it's the same.

Agreed, #1 was a bit too linear, but the plot moved fast and had some great twists to it so that really made up for it. The series gets better the whole way through about giving you just enough options about what to do to make you feel like you are actually playing a game instead of watching a movie. All in all, I love the series, but by the same coin Tomb Raider reboot series is better.

4 was almost a different game from 1-3. There is more exploring, less combat and crazy set pieces, and a lot more stealth. I liked the gameplay in 4 more for that reason.

i got the trilogy as part of a b2g1 at target and was very disappointed. beat the 1st in like 4 hours, 2nd was pretty good, 3rd had 1 or 2 cool moments but mostly sucked.
4 was a step above, but more of the same shite. just no replayability (MAYBE ill play 4 again down the road). i will never touch the trilogy again though. im probably spoiled from playing Last of Us first, which is galaxies ahead of the uncharteds. sucks because I'm a huge fan of Amy Hennig, who did the LoK games

I'm right there with ya.... bought the collection a few months ago and half way into the first game I started a thread trashing the game... then someone reminded me that the first one came out in 2006 so I gave it another chance and I don't regret it. Once I got to the second game it was all up hill from there! Absolutely love what Naughty Dog has done these past few years and can't wait to get my hands on The last of us part 2!!!!!

I just started replaying U4 this weekend. I moved up to Hard difficulty.
I turned on infinite ammo and I unlocked a few weapons that I can load in when times get tough. It makes it much funner.
I can say I have died quite a few more times this play through.

You are right that it is shorter. I flew through it in the remastered. It's definitely an early PS3 game.
