How is Call of Duty Black ops 3?

I haven't bought a Call of Duty since Ghosts. I mainly just play online and don't really care about campaign.
I'm getting kinda tired of the maps on Ghosts and the price has come down for BO3 so how is it?

It's a fun game to have and play around. Not the deepest FPS but I believe if you enjoyed Ghost you'll get your money's worth out of this one

I never played Ghosts (was the first Cod I skipped), it was one of the worst reviewed CoDs.
Blops 3 is a toned down Advanced Warfare.

It was painfully bad. When the "mind powers" were introduced I lost all interest in the game. I doubt any war we fight will have a battlefield of elite warriors staring and concentrating hard at drones to hack them.

I like it, but it's the first FPS I play. I got it to play with my friends and I enjoy the hell out of it.

I view the COD series as a whole like Metallica post Black album
They still deliver a core product that works, but to those who truly invested time into the original stuff, it's utter garbage.
The two best CoD games were CoD 1 and MW 1. Both brought fresh and exciting ideas and gameplay to a bland FPS scene at the time. Everything after MW 2 has just been sellout after sellout. Same thing over and over again with different graphics.
Black Ops 3 is no different (and I've played it) than Black Ops 1&2, Advanced Warfare, MW3, or anything else.

Yeah, COD titles are iterative. The first COD is COD v1.0 through COD Modern Warfare 3 AKA COD 1.6, if you consider Black Ops to be a fork of v1.5 (MW2). COD Ghosts was a failed beta, and Advanced Warfare is COD 2.0.
My favorite change in Black Ops 3 is the ability to forgo all perks, side arm, and explosives in favor of a decked out primary weapon. 1 sight and 5 attachments. Kind of fun.

Same here. I played sparingly in college just drunk with friends and we'd usually just play offline so we didn't mess up my roommates KD (stupid I know).
Now I've graduated and bought a PS4 so I'm playing COD online for the first time and with my own account. My KD is lower than that though.. I'm getting better.
I think it is a fun game. I like how quick it is to play. I only own Fallout 4, GTA, NBA 2k16, and COD. COD is the only one I can really pick up and play for 10 minutes then put down and go on with my night.

what was your complaint about BO2? I liked the game, but did think the maps played too small. And no scoping was beyond silly, they completely catered to it.
