interactive movie, basically

the story can go in a crapton of different directions based on your decisions/timing of your button presses

if you like that kind of thing, I think the story was great

I think it's what they call a visual novel? Like Japanese games?

If it's anything close to as good as Last of Us story wise then yeah I might be interested.

How was Last of Us a good story? It was ok. Kinda predictable. I saw the end coming from a mike away. Now if you mean relationship, that's something else entirely.

Heavy Rain has a much much better story in my opinion.

Love this game. It is kind of an interactive movie/adventure game, but the chapters are re-playable so you can make different choices to see how it affects the story.

Well for me I spent 20 hours playing a game that I though the game play was kinda meh and enjoyed the hell out of all 20 hours, that's how it was a good story.

It amazes me how people still can't grasp that what others like may not line up with what you like, that doesn't make it wrong.

I hate handhelds but the Switch has those that do excited, do I care and want to challenge their opinion, not at all.

Oh, I understand that completely. Just asking you a simple question. How was it a good story. Please explain. I'm curious for your answer. I never said you were wrong or I was right.

From someone that usually wears out the space bar to skip dialog in games, the interaction between the characters with conversations and actions were good and I treated it like a movie. I have never been one to trying and figure out the end of the story as soon as possible I just enjoy the ride.

To me the story was good and it was well executed with the coming and going of characters and interactions.

Like someone else said, its basically an interactive movie with a lot of different decisions to make. I love the game but some of the voice acting is pretty painful, especially by the kids in it.

Heavy Rain is worth playing. It was interesting at the time.

Painful voice acting?!? That painful voice acting created the funniest glitch I've ever seen in a game! EDIT - SPOILERS IN THE LINK

I haven't played it, but I enjoyed listening to comedian Kumail Nanjiani describe playing it.

I enjoyed it a good bit...of course I also really enjoyed Indigo Prophecy and that game got some mixed reviews.

The same company who made Heavy Rain also made Beyond: Two Souls. The two main characters are played by Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe. I have yet to play it but the reviews make it seem weak.

Beyond: Two Souls was actually kind of fun for me.

I guess I just like these kind of games. The gameplay in Beyond was kind of interesting in that you controlled both Ellen Page and this little ghost thing that could interact with objects and possess people.

To me, thatbstill sounds like characters. Maybe because you liked the characters so much you were more invested in the story. But character and story is very separate things to me.

Definitely get it. It's pretty cheap and I really enjoyed it. Multiple endings and a ton of fun. Im biased because I love Heavy Rain/TellTale type of games.

It had a very interesting couch co-op thing that made playing through it quite easy. It wasn't amazing, but very much worth the $20 I paid for it.
