Ended up spending around $200 when its all said and done. A couple as gifts, mostly for me though.

Yeah, pretty damn insane. Early reports are the PS4 sold over a million units this month (most in the last few days), and per Sony, largest number of new PS4 PSN connections since launch day.

From what I can tell it never stayed down long enough to get picked up as a story but I saw a lot of people getting kicked from time to time.

How the frick is this stealing? His wife didn't knowingly take the product without paying for it, nor did she allegedly try to hide it.
If whatever store they got it from wants to hire incompetent people that's on them. Not the person who tried to pay for it and then got home to realize it was free.

You honestly think Wal-Mart is wondering what happened to their $300 PS4 right now?
Nothing wrong with going back and paying for it though. But to say it's stealing is ridiculous when they allegedly did nothing of the sort to try and actually steal it.
