....and experience like new for the first time. I was playing around with Portal 2 last night, and even though I still enjoy the dialogue and playing around with the puzzles that I know inside and out, I kind of wish I could just erase my memory of it and experience the exhilaration of my first play through. Staring at a room for what seemed like forever and finally having that "aha" moment, kicking myself for not seeing that sooner, laughing and moving on.

Skyrim is one as well. I remember constantly yelling at my roommate "HOLY COW, THIS LOOKS FRIGGIN AMAZING" that weekend it first came out.

Metal Gear Solid also. I remember my friend telling me about this game where you came across this sniper, got pinned, and had to backtrack through the entire game to find a sniper rifle and then make your way back to continue the fight. Had never heard of such a thing in a video game myself.

Twisted Metal (can't remember which one) when my cousins and I blew up the Statue of Liberty for the first time. Total mindblown moment...

Final Fantasy VII - all-around amazing game

Fallout 3 - the first time I attempted to play it, I didn't get it and dismissed it pretty quickly.

Mortal Kombat - FATALITY!!!

Metal Gear Solid - Tactical espionage?? What's that?

I haven't even scratched the surface on enough games since I started playing again the past couple years but of my limited recent experience, I'd have to say Mass Effect and RDR.

I know, graphics and gameplay on ME are meh but that's probably my favorite game I've played on 360. Maybe ME 1a and RDR 1b

I loved both stories and it would be fun to go back through not knowing what was next. Really I could probably play ME and take a different approach and it still be somewhat new. I really need to start ME2. It's been staring at me for almost 2 years patiently waiting

eta: I understood your description perfectly. Just wanted to be the first dick in the thread

This is actually an interesting question

I would rewatch Dexter, play Fallout 3, and probably use it to forget I ever played Diablo 1 & 2 so that 3 wouldn't be such a letdown

About once a year I play through it again. Pretty ridiculous how fast I fly through it.

I wouldn't think I would include a shooter, but the first time I played the COD4 beta was pretty mind blowing.

I'd probably say these three of the top of my head:

Ocarina of Time
Halo
Half Life Two

The sense of wonder and amazement the first time I played these games was pretty intense.

Mine is Ultima Online.

Logged in and it was like, "What do I want to do?" and the answer was "Whatever you feel like doing."

Ever since that game I've hoped some other company pulls out the same game again with improvements.n UO started out with skills that had no identifiable purpose at launch (Later patches made some useful, who would do that these days?) Griefing wasn't even that bad, either.

Fully fledged crafting, housing and no instances are really big to make a virtual world seem alive.

One of my all time favorites. I still get on from time to time. Some of the free shards still have a pretty damn good player base.
