Forza 7 needs 100gb to download on xbox 1x

Possible I guess. I just re-downloaded Battlefield Hardline a few weeks ago to play something fresh and it was 48 GB. I'd like to go back to simpler times when I could pop in a damn disc and play right away.

4k texture files are large. real large.

there is going to be a breaking point though. 100GB for 1 game is asinine. people have data caps and limited hdd space in consoles. what if they just wanted to play in 1080p? why cant they forgo the 4k textures?

100 is pretty ridiculous, devs should find a way to do 60 max.

The size is whatever it needs to be. You can't exactly limit that if you want to continue to grow.

How big is the One X hard drive?

I'm not sure they have said yet. I'm guessing 1Tb.

Not really. Change the HDDs yourself and/or you will just need to redownload.

Keep the cost down for those like me who only play 1-2games on consoles a year.

Or devs could be more efficient with how much storage their games take. Plenty of games have 4K textures and few seem to have this problem, also it's a racing game bigger games seem to manage just fine with their file size.

I had no idea until I finally got an Xbox one

I also learned to not trust some random online from the north named Marcus (markii) Gonzales (gonzo) to gameshare with as he took my money and removed me from Xbox home. That's a lesson learned I guess.
