Finally Bought Battlefront

I know it is a glorified arcade game but damn it is fun. I bought the ultimate edition. Got to rank 7. Loving it so far.
Lots of stuff to do for sure. Helps that I am a star wars nerd too.
Anyone else recently jump in?

I haven't played in a while, but the game is a ton of fun in small bursts. The only think I wish was that there were more heroes and villains, and that there was a true heroes vs villains game mode like in battlefront 2.

They have just added a bunch. Lando, Bossk, The bad guy from Rogue one, Jyn from Rogue one. The HvV mode is fun.
More weapons, more maps (one from R1). Even though I didn't play before, I could tell that without all this new content why people quit.

Probably should have clarified. I want more Jedi and sith. I didn't like their desire to only have it be original trilogy plus apparently Rogue One stuff. The HvV mode is fun, but if you played battlefront II, it doesn't even compare. Everyone got to be a hero or villain, with full out jedi vs sith battles. It was fantastic. This was good, but it just really only gives you a taste.

Going see Rogue One tonight may make me fire this game back up. It was fun, but could get a little worn down playing it too much

The flying in the game was phenomenal. Rogue One has had me going back and watching TCW series again. Just so good.

The scarif missions are fun. Infiltration might be my favorite mode in the game.

I've been playing it since it was first released. I've had a lot of fun with it, although I was a little let down with the Death Star DLC. It was fun at first, but the flying levels kind of wear on me after a while.
Overall a great game, and there are moments (especially on the Endor levels) where there will be lasers crashing all around you, and you will find yourself thinking, "Holy shite, I am in fricking Star Wars." But I was hoping it would be more like Battlefront 2 for the original XBox. That's still the best one of the series.

Just fired up the game again after reading your post. Hadn't played it in probably 10 months. Lots of new stuff/chatacters. Dengar came out of nowhere and wrecked my shite. Dengar! I was surprised but had to laugh. He wasn't in the game last time I played.

I hope you didnt buy it on Xbox. EA Access just opened it up for free in the vault. Been waiting for a long time. Obviously you have to have an EA Access account but its worth it.

went 40-8 on walker assault last night without being a hero or getting in a vehicle.
Just me, a T21 heavy blaster, focus fire, scout pistol and thermal detonator. Some of the most fun I have had in a competitive shooter in a long time has been on this game.

How the hell did you only die 8 times during a walker assault game? PS4 players must be awful shots

The T21's mix of power and range is a huge advantage when you get used to using it. It was the night Hoth map and I just stayed outside keeping the rebels off of the stations. Most of the time they did not even notice me until it was too late- 3 hits to the body and dead. I don't have the scout trait either.
It was a one in a million game I guess, being that my overall KD since I got the game is only 1.35.

I've never been able to get a hang of the T21. The heavy repeater has been a godsend.

I'll be playing once the Scariff DLC is released to non-season pass holders. Ive bought all the DLC. May as well have bought the season pass

Took me a few matches but in almost every game I favor the high bullet damage automatic rifles with recoil issues.
T21 is my jam depending on the map (outside is favored)

One thing I hate is how disadvantaged Luke, Vader, and Palpatine are as heroes. The fact that Krennic, Erso, or any of the other characters are a threat to them is just silly. I'm not saying you can't do some damage with them, but their complete lack of any range makes them almost worthless on all but the closed off indoor maps.
