They probably don't want to show the same old and would like to put more effort into a reveal at a later time. The audacity...

They just want to have something completely fresh to show people and to make that experience polished. An extra 3 months to prepare would likely be appreciated by the staff.

Square can still show Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest Heroes.
