Battle of the Gardens was so fricking epic

Last boss had me down to just squall and I was on the last phase. Got his ultimate and got the best one, killed her arse. I was jumping for joy like a mfr

8 is a really good game and I played it around the perfect age for it to cover me in nostalgia (13) the first time. I just don't care for any of the characters in it outside of Squall and Laguna. I actually like the junction system, even if the draw system could have been done better. The music and art direction are great.

I wish I didn't get so sidetracked with the fricking card queen lmao. I tracked that bitch all over the world trying to get a certain card (can't remember) at the end of her quest. So tedious

I don't know what I'm missing here (obviously a spoiler), but I'll just submit Lightning for that category. Don't care how bad her game was.

Cards actually were super OP in VIII and you could break the game.

It was just a joke. Garnet has short hair in the picture. She cuts her long hair off at a big part of the story.

I googled her and there are a few "boy or girl?" searches for two other characters, but didn't see that for her.

How topical.

Booted this up this morning just to see what the port looked like. I am not a fan. It is the mobile/PC port. Backgrounds look off compared to the original and I don't care for how the "remastered" characters look. It just looks off. The battle command menu looks too big now as you can tell it was altered for touch screens.

Probably should have just booted up my ps3 and played the classic.

The backgrounds do look a little muddy for a remaster. Typical square enix laziness.

They were pre-rendered in 1999. What do you expect.

A ten dollar price tag? Nostalgia is all square has left, guess they're more than happy to milk it dry.

Apparently they did pretty good with Nier and FF XV, or so they said in their keynote. Square is back boys!

I flipped a coin last weekend between Nier and Yakuza 0. I ended up getting Yakuza. I think I'll get Nier after I complete it.

I need to pick up Yakuza, Persona, and the Dishonored 2 expansion.

Got up to where the airship crashes in FF last night. I gotta say, I've already gotten over my initial fears of the art style. The game has an undeniable charm to it.

I managed to impress all 100 nobles twice in a row on my first tries, which, upon further research, has apparently given a lot of people headaches. I wonder if they made it easier for PS4. Can't wait to get off work and play more

Some of the trophies are ridiculous. As soon as I saw the 1000 consecutive jump rope trophy, I knew I wasn't going to go for the plat.
