This guy had over 90K in fifa points to spend on packs to get team of year cards.

I've watched him spend $1200 in a few hours.

I know not everyone spends like this, but doesn't this make playing online kind of shitty?

he's making nice money streaming fifa. 35-60 subs every time he streams and on weekends, he'll pull in over 80+ subs

3000 active subs begins to add up. And people donating $1 to 100 all day during his stream.

Not a bad hobby.

Yea, the Fifa crowd will buy that game no matter what.

I realize that there is similar following to most of those EA games, but it seems to be a different level when it comes to Fifa (mostly due to worldwide following).

Well they all go by divisions like online ranked, so you wouldn't be D1 unless you had a really good team yourself so you'd never face a loaded team like that unless you're in D1.

What does this have to do with buying the game itself? I've been way too many damn hours into Fifa over the years and I haven't touched Ultimate team.

Eh FIFA has been really good at changing things up and improving things. I am worried though that seem to be catering the the Ultimate Team crowd though, but I don't really blame them considering the cash cow it is.

Me and my friends have spent majority of our time playing basically shooters only together since Xbox Live existed can't stop playing damn pro clubs in FIFA
