FIFA 11 on 360

I've been playing this on ps3 for a while but i played it for the first time on xbox the other day and noticed something. Is it not possible to do a short cross in the air? I BARELY tap x and the cross goes across the field to the far post. On ps3 i can do a little short cross to a guy near post but this was pretty much impossible on 360.
Anybody else experience this?

What mode are you playing? I don't seem to have a problem. We have a pro club thread on the soccer board.

are you using a playing manager mode or pro career? Are you controlling the whole team or just one player?

Headers are somewhat tough to score on in general (unless its to Drogba etc.), still they really shouldnt be relied upon to score that many goals IMO.
Chip through ball to the winger
then a diagonal chipped through to one of your strikers
That or a simple 1 2 with the striker in the middle making a run, pop a through ball over the FBs head
I run a 4-2-4 or 4-3-3 and its easy as hell, but I do customize all the att/def aarows to fit how I play
Rarely do I use ground passes once I get into their attacking 3rd
Everyone plays differently though; I just find this to be by far the easiest way to get a lot of SOG

Sounds like the xbox buttons are more sensitive. Might be the individual pad. I'm a PS3 player but I prefer the Xbox pads for FIFA because I find it easier to do some of the tougher skills (particularly triple elastico and hocus pocus) with xbox sticks.
ETA: For a cross to the near post, if you're outside the box, try double tapping cross instead of holding it. Should go straight to the near post, if you're on the edge of the box it'll go a bit further in though.

I'll try this next time. I know this is supposed to be like low cross or something but it might wind up working better. I just cant stand when there is a guy wide open in the box and u can't get it to him because he's not all the way across the field
