Though I love RPGs, I didn't get around to playing the Baldur's Gate series until 2013-14. Now I can't believe I waited so long to play it.

What are some of y'all's favorite games you came to late?

Gotta be Mass Effect and Bioshock for me.

Took me more than 2 years to pick them up.

I played this series from launch up until a couple years ago thanks to mods like easyTuTu & The Gibberlings Three website. Probably played through that game over a hundred times with all kinds of parties and solo with almost every character type. Still the best AD&D game I've ever played.

I have a PS2 and N64. I go to some retro game shops around Phoenix and try old-school games I never played from time to time. Love those stores.

Assassin's creed 2
I didn't play games for years then tried out ac2 one day for the hell of it. I loved it and it's the game that brought me back to gaming.

Infamous 1 and 2
I was late to these due to my hiatus. I liked 1 but loved 2. 2 was my first platinum.

Borderlands
Didn't see the appeal but tried it because this board spoke so highly of it. Turns out it's one of my favorite series.

Uncharted
Not only was I late to these, I didn't like them when I finally played them. I decided to play the remasters recently and loved them. Not sure what changed but it's now one of my favorites.

Fallout 3
Got in the fallout 4 hype and started 3 right away. It's rough around the edges but it's still damn good.

Demon's souls
I tried to like this game so many times and kept giving up. After having it click for bloodborne and ds2 I decided to try demon's again. I blew through it, might be my favorite of the series.

Cod 4.

My Xbox broke a few weeks before it came out and I didn't feel like I played enough to warrant buying a new one. Then a month or so before mw2 came out I changed my mind and bought a new one and a copy of cod 4. Spent about a month straight glued to it. Was blown away with how fun multiplayer was. ( my only experience with it to that point was halo 2 playing on lan in the dorms)

Just about every game I have I got well after release. NHL 17 and GTAV are probably the only full price games I bought in the last 4 years.
