If you have a PS3, do yourself a favor and download this game. It's pure fun; the best game I've played on PSN. The most surprising part so far has been the smoothness of online play. There's no lag so hopefully it stays that way.

Your best bet is to check out IGN or gamespot for a full preview, but I'll give it a shot. Essentially it's a capture the flag type of deal, but with two fat arse princesses. You feed your captured princess cake so she gets fatter, which makes it more difficult for the other team to carry her back to their castle. There are several types of classes and you can switch back and forth by just picking up the hat off the ground (warrior to wizard to priest to worker to ranger). Workers can cut down trees, etc. to improve defenses and build better factories, which will upgrade your characters. Priests can heal other characters, wizards cast spells, etc. Online, you end up with two teams of 16. I haven't had any lag whatsoever. There are several mini games as well. It's just one of those games you have to see or play to really appreciate. There's a lot of humor as well, especially with the british voice over, which reminds me of monty python. The only game I've had any similar type of fun with has been castle crashers on XBLA.

yeah, it's pretty fun. i've been playing it all weekend and have been surprised at the number of maps and mini games--there is even a soccer game you can play (!?!) this and pixeljunk monsters are probably the 2 best games i've gotten from the playstation network. and can't wait till castle crashers drops for the ps3.

this actually reminds me of the overblown controversy about the black "zombies" in re5. or heck, every time an adolescent commits a crime and some mediocre mind blames it on gaming. in every instance it reveals the inanity of the dilettante "commentators" who feign outrage over stuff like this to exaggerate their own self importance.

This game in and of itself isn't enough to make me go out and buy a PS3. That said, it is a ton of fun, and anyone who has a PS3 (and, possibly, doesn't have small children) should check it out if they like to have fun.

Other than the Show (a full retail game, and an exceptional one at that), this is my favorite game for the PS3. The replay value is through the roof.
