The game puts players in the role of a hunter named Takkar, whose motivations seem pretty simple, according to Ubisoft: "Survive in a world where humans are the prey." That includes hunting for food, crafting weapons, and fending off sabretooth tigers. Based on the reveal trailer, it appears the game will involve a lot of throwing spears at mammoths. "The Stone Age is the perfect setting for a Far Cry game," says creative director Jean-Christophe Guyot of the new setting.

Far Cry 4 was my first game in the series. I really liked it, but understand it was a cut and paste of FC3. I'll probably buy this, but it'd be nice if Ubisoft changed up their cookie-cutter games a bit. Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed Unity/Rogue, and FC4 were way too similar.

cant wait to climb primitive towers, pluck plants, take over enemy caves, look for collectibles to unlock better sticks and stones, go up against a charismatic, over the top villain, interact with terribly written characters, and play as a drone with terrible voice acting
no thanks. far cry 4 was an abortion. that shite with the bow and arrow and the tiger in the dream world was just awful. i was even upset that i wasted the time to rent it. so tired of playing the same game over and over and over and over again

For once, I actually agree with Carson. FC4 was a terribly put together game with a horrible main character, terrible story, and completely mismanaged villains.
The best moment in the entire game is when the whiny bitch of a main character dies in the end.

Well, then people would bitch about historical (or paleontological) accuracy, not that it matters a whole lot with Far Cry. This will be a Far Cry 4 clone, but you'll be opening sabertooth tiger cages and riding woolly mammoths.

I got so bored playing Far Cry 4. Had no idea the series had such an emphasis on stealth.
