Nintendo is pretty controlling on their overall aesthetic. There's no way this is it.

I can clearly see a B button under the right analog stick. IT kind of looks like there is the outline of another button above that.

If this is really what they are going for, why don't they just bow out of the console business and stick to handhelds? It's clearly what they care about the most.

imo, even more reason to think it is fake. The patent image is more likely just a proof of concept type deal and I seriously doubt the final version would look near as close to that as this 'leak' does. Someone just threw some shite together in photoshop based on that patent.

And someone made a really damn good Majoras Mask HD teaser that everyone thought was legit a few years ago. Just because one person says it looks 'consistent' doesn't automatically mean someone with professional photo editing skills or digital drawing skills didn't make a very good fake.

The placement of the A and B button is suspect, that and I would be more inclined to think it were real had we never seen the patent diagram.
But I wouldn't put this above possibly being some development kit peripheral.

Plus this doesn't jive with the rumors of the handheld/console hybrid. At least not at first glance.
