Elders Scrolls fans are likely looking forward to embarking on adventures with friends in the upcoming MMO The Elder Scrolls Online, but when it comes to the process of actually creating a character, we haven't seen too much from Bethesda. Well, that changes today as a new video profiles the plentiful options you'll have when creating your own hero.
In the video, Art Director Jared Carr discusses what looks like a robust character creation system while outlining exactly what the team implemented to please fans of the franchise. Both the body and face of your character will be constructed from a variety of options and, as the video indicates, will pretty much allow you to make whatever type of Elder Scrolls character you can dream up.

Really hope this game sucks. Mainly because I don't want to get stuck in a damn MMORPG monthly payment.
Hell, I still pay for fracking Runescape which I haven't played in a two years. Problem is I put 8 years into that stupid game and now can't let go.
MMORPGs are evil and I refuse to let their hooks get into me again.

As much as I love Elder Scrolls, I plan to stay as far away from this as possible, mainly because I'm already pretty deep in to Final Fantasy 14.
Is this going to be a sub based game?

Me too, for the same reason.

I just can't get that in to character creation. After about 5 minutes I'm like "eff it, I just wanna play the game"

I'm the same way usually. I'll take a little more time in MMO's just because it's more of a social game and I'll be spending more time on it.
My fallout characters are pretty generic.

I find it easier to have as few choices as possible.
Warrior/Mage
Man/Woman
Black/White
Go

Have they even said it will have a monthly fee ? Most new MMO's don't these days.

im kind of hesitant of this game. elder scrolls made amazing single player RPGs but i dunno about MMOs tbh.
takin a wait and see approach.
and i hate customizing my char. Jesus. i just want to play, not embark on digital barbie and ken adventures.

Don't care how awesome the game is I will not play because of this reason. I am already paying a fee to play online via my console ... I will not pay this for that game.
Sorry it just never will happen.

I'm the same way. Was pretty excited about the game and following it pretty closely, but when they announced the subscription fee, I said frick it

So is this the big name one right now in the world of MMO's? I'm waiting for something big to happen that convinces me to start playing them again. I haven't played since that latest Star Wars one. I really want someone to produce a large world MMO with open world pvp.
Posted on 10/17/13 at 5:28 pm to Mr. Tom Morrow
open world PVP would imply that todays generation of carebear whiney fgts might not be able to complete their 100 fetch quests due to Mr Meanie corpse campin their bitch arse.
gotta cater to the whiney fgt gimme gimme entitled generation, so... we may be waiting a while

I loved ganking and corpse camping. When it happened to me, you called out to friends and a war began. Even vanilla wow had it. I can't think of the area that we camped but it looked like a small ghost town on the horde side right near an alliance town near the water. Some idiot would always attack the transport griffins and it really got out of hand. We'd do this for hours and for no reason at all and it was some of the most fun I've ever had in a game. Then people stated whining just like you said and suddenly the guards in those towns were increased to around level 250 or something and would one shot kill you. Stupid.
