EA Sports Unveils New IGNITE Engine for PS4 and XboxOne (FIFA, UFC, Madden, NBA)

Bump the video up to HD and see how ridiculous this looks.
- Venues and crowds look really detailed, something EA hasn't done on current gen at all (while 2K and The Show have to an extent).
- Everyone on NBA Live looks incredibly skinny. I know it's Kyrie Irving and Ricky Rubio for most of the cut, but the other guys look tiny as well.
- Movement looks less robotic, more fluid. Can't wait to see the glitches that's going to cause.
- However, this can't possibly be actual gameplay footage, so I should be looking at more of the visuals.
- HOLY CRAP HE JUMPED OFF THE CAGE AND KICKED THAT DUDE
- The way Iniesta back cut his man and ran off the ball was great. Maybe that's the Human Intelligence they're talking about.
So...will EA pull another Madden Next Gen here?
ETA: Apparently this was shown at the Xbox One reveal earlier today. I didn't watch.

Powered by the new EA SPORTS IGNITE engine, games will be alive with Human Intelligence. True Player Motion. Living Worlds.

Definitely, pre-rendered trailer.

At first I thought this, but as you look at it, you can see the inconsistency in it, which is common in game play.

There was a difference between that video and the Madden Next Gen one.
It was a better video...detail, player movement, etc.

EA sports is pretty garbage... remember a few years back when they tried to sell off "real grass" in game... when it was only real grass during the rendered video and not actually during gameplay

Oh, I know they never follow through. But they'll just keep making money.
I'm mostly interested in seeing how the PS4 gameplay on FIFA is different from this video.

Same stuff I see when new games come out. Looks like a trailer for new games and then if and when we buy it, we will say its a little better than the last console. Although I did watch this on my I phone, I just didn't see the wow factor . They have fooled us many many times. Even on the demos, sometimes I'm like they were making diving catches and everybody was moving faster. I buy the game and I'm like where did this go? or where did the diving catches go? Better come with more than that if I'm buying within the first two years.

Lol they had snow to distract you from the visuals missing in the RG3 pick plus it looks as the crowd is missing.

The footage of EA Sports' Ignite engine shown at today's Xbox One reveal event was pre-rendered using assets from Electronic Arts' next-gen FIFA, Madden, NBA Live and UFC games, says Andrew Wilson, executive vice president of EA Sports.
Asked whether snippets of real-time gameplay were featured in the teaser for FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, NBA Live 14 and EA Sports UFC, Wilson said no and explained the reasoning behind its Xbox One showing.
"It was all pre-rendered," Wilson told Polygon. "Listen, we're not hiding behind that fact. This was an event that we've been planning for a number of months on a new platform. And what we wanted to do was use real game assets, so they're all real game assets, straight out of our game teams, but we had to get it into a format that would be usable in this style of event.

Is mark sanchez in the game though?
I hate that character. Shittiest video game villain ever.

its all cut scenes though, no way the actual game is going to look like that, in the RG3 clip, you couldnt see shite if u were controlling that

At least they are actually pretending to care about building a solid foundation to base their games on this time.

WSE
I'm pumped for 2014 FIFA hopefully they fix some of the errors they have now but if the off the ball movement is like what they showed this could be a really good game.
Do you use the FIFA Ultimate Team ... apparently that's a XBOX One Exclusive, IDK?, but I know you are a PS guy though so I wanted to let you know.
