I'm looking for a new game and these two have always seemed good to me. Both are going for $30 on Amazon so price isn't going to be a factor. Playing on the xbone.

I've played a few hours of sunset and it was really fun but I've heard really good things about dying light.

Sunset is a much better game than dying light. But dying light offers a deeper world to get lost in.

I finished sunset and all its DLC. Finished about 3/4 of dying light before getting tired of it. You can glitch your way to a crap load of cash, every perk, and every weapon in dying light fwiw. Makes the game more fun, but caused me to lose interest faster because it made the game stupid easy.

I think Dying Light is best experienced with friends

Bull fricking shite. You might not like them but to say they're mediocre is an objective statement and a bold faced lie.

As for the games. Never played sunset but it's bright. I really really enjoyed dying light and I am one of the few who loved the jumping mechanics. A lot of people are turned off at first because you are ridiculously underpowered for awhile and then you get better and better. I recommend it.

dying light was kind of fun but it really wasn't anything special and is very forgettable

Just put Sunset Overdrive in my Gamefly Queue. Some people have said it is the best on Xbone so far...kind of excited to try it.

Dying light though...it was an average game that was overhyped. It was pretty much Dead Island with better graphics. The fetch quest and jump puzzles in this game were unbearable sometimes. It is still mindless fun sometimes.

I only played it a few times alone and honesty didn't really enjoy it nearly as much as when I played it with my friends.

I didn't play it with friends, but I definitely believe you.

Those types of games are always better with friends. Borderlands fro example.

Haven't played sunset, but go with sunset

Dying light is the typical vapid experience with artificial depth that people love these days

Yeah the story was super predictable and very corny, but running around drop kicking zombies with your friends is a fricking blast.

The one thing I do have to add to their credit is that it sounds like they have added a bunch of free stuff to the game that I need to check out

I can agree with that. It isn't a game changer. But it is a quality made product. The same with sunset overdrive. I've met many people who loved both games. Sure, they aren't game of the year material and people are certainly within their right to not like it but if you look at Dying Light objectively, I find it very hard to say it's mediocre..

Ha yeah man just work and a ton of summer school. I'll get on the PS4 a little more often just looking for a good multi-player game for it. Been playing a lot of Splatoon on the Wii U.

You would love Trials on Destiny. I know you are pretty much done with the game but you would.
