You can play without it. Loot 2.0 made the game so much better. But, RoS is fantastic and worth the money

The whole point of a game like D3 is to get bigger and better loot and increase the difficulty, no? You can't do that if you don't have the xpac. That'd be like having a 4 cylinder corvette.

Can you do bounties at any level and where do you start them?

have to beat act v first and then you get access to adventure mode. each act then has 5 bounties to do with 2 of the acts having bonus

Yeah, after you beat act V with 1 character, you can do adventure mode with any of them.
Leveling with adventure mode is really fun.

ahh, i just got one from dell for about 1k. it will run everything just not on ultra but it's good for on the go

WOW bounties and rifts make this game 100% better!!! My biggest complaint was running the same thing over and over, this solves that, same area's but different objectives.

Dude, you can play this shite on mac. It shouldn't be too hard to find a laptop (of any make) capable of running D3.
But seriously, build a PC desktop. You need a real battle station.
