Damn I'm awesome. Just started a new game a took out Asylum Demon on first try. Not even hard.

I was wondering, has anyone tried to kill him during that scene where you supposed to run from him? Your sword only does 2 damage. Figured some nerd tried and pulled it off.

He drops a special weapon if you kill him right away.

Gwyn thought Smough's diabetes was too much of a liability.

Best O&S, farmed some for the Silver Knight Sword and beat 4 Kings. Hope to get to Nito and Seath - then move on to the dlc tonight.

according to some concept art, Smough isn't actually fat.

Gwyn rejected Smough cause he was a cannibal

I thought this was common knowledge. Maybe I just knew b/c I've binge watched a ton of DS lore

I'm still a DS noob tbh. I've completed one playthrough and haven't even hit DLC. I've had time but not patience for the rage

Yeah idk if he was joking or not but felt compelled to share.

Which led to me reading dark souls lore for the past 90 minutes

It's common knowledge that Gwyn was very selective of who he insured... I've done my share or lore hunting.

Moonlight Butterfly down.

What a hypnotic, tantalizing battle.

Eta: guess this means I head into the basin now?

I'm going to finish exploring the garden. I have a few paths I didn't check out. Then I'm going to head back to the Burg and hit that door at the beginning of the Hellkite bridge. That's the only place I know to go that isn't the Darkroot Basin.

Yup. And that's certainly the next area to go.

Man I find once I watch one video then I watch another then finish a series then I find another channel with DS lore and watch all that stuff, along with all DS2 lore...and the cycle just repeats.

It makes me enjoy the game that much more when I play. Ya know, until I hit blighttown or sens fortress or something...

I hate that I've only had 30 minutes or so to play each night this week.

I've opened up the shortcut between the upper and lower burg but had to quit.

Oh and Jombie...I had the balder side sword and didn't even know it.
