Bill's Town on is probably my favorite next few hours in gaming history.
Bill's Town is awesome though, the HS parts and meeting the first bloater (boss) is so damn intense. And then it only gets better from there somehow.
I believe the University is shortly after right? Which would be my favorite scenes in the game.
I'm going to have to start another playthrough soon.

Pittsburgh is right after, that's where I'm at currently in my game plus or whatever its called mode.
That first bloater boss was a fricking beast on that. One hit and you were dead while fending off random runners that would show up.

Yeah that's right, Pittsburgh and the Suburbs next.
The Dam right around there too, another favorite.
The Dam through the University and up through the end of the game, just damn.

TLOU is one of those games that only comes around every once in a while where it's a must play.
I played it for the first time on PS4 and knew of its accolades before hand.
Let me just tell you this, when you finish the game I promise you that you'll be glad you had the opportunity to play the last of us. It's that good. It's not just another zombie game. If the opening section didn't get you sucked in, just keep playing and if after 2 hours in you're not convinced, go see a doctor.

Dat Giraffe scene, man... Major feels. But the end part (won't spoil), damn son.

I used to solely play multiplayer games but LOU seriously changed my perspective on gaming. That story is fricking amazing.

I'm fairly inhuman and lack empathy and some of the scenes between Joel and Ellie, particularly the scene at the ranch and the DLC always brings tears to my eyes. Having a daughter, it hit me especially hard.

you are one of maybe 3 people (myself included) that I can honestly say have reached self-actualization

As a fetus, I debated my way out of my mom's vagina.

The story alone is worth it. Let's not even talk about the flawless, open-ended, gameplay. The story hits you right in the gut, the characters (even the minor ones) are all three-dimensional and deeply flawed, and the ending sticks with you long after you have played. I would even go so far as to say it is one of the best "films" of the decade.

How did you get bored during that intro?
Also, make sure you're playing on a higher difficulty. The game is 100x more fun when you actually have to conserve resources.

didnt realize it's looked down upon to be aware of one's own strengths and shortcomings.

You strike me as a guy that sees his strengths much more than his weaknesses

I've never felt the type of emotional connection to a video game character as I did in TLOU
Posted on 5/18/15 at 10:34 pm to Mr Gardoki
My weaknesses far outnumber my strengths
Gotta know who you are to improve yourself. Some things you just have to accept though, i.e lack of empathy, bring manipulative, being overly opinionated, being argumentative to the point that it's combative, etc. I've tried to fix those things but I've accepted that I never will be able to. I've gotten better at trusting others with work stuff and not getting super upset over error

I have absolutely no disallusions about who I am, my relation to others and existence as a whole. I'm a mess of a person and fricking relationship poison.
