I have both and would only ever play a third party title on it unless it was cheaper or unless my friends were playing on it. Xbox One does have better exclusives in the present, but the PS4 is gaining ground quickly with Street Fighter V, Ratchet and Clank, and soon Uncharted 4.

I will throw in if you are interested in a PS4, a media remote is a necessity because the gaming controller's battery life is crap.

I've noticed that. Sometimes it turns off after 10 mins like I fricking told it to, and sometimes it stays on for hours.

I would really recommend giving it another try. It has no file type restrictions and the UI is outstanding.

PC really, but hawg makes sure you know about XB1. There's only like 15 or so active people so it can become a bit of an echo chamber.

As someone who plays my Xbox more than my ps4... maybe I need to trade mine in and buy another one bc the ui is terrible for me.

Why pay $300+ for a game system that you're only gonna watch movies on? You could just get a roku or Amazon fire for a lot cheaper. PS4 has Vue now which has gotten great reviews if you're interested in getting rid of cable. XBone has more apps though.
