That being said, I would like to ask all of those who have both consoles to post in this thread and discuss which console they think is better right now, has the brighter future and why you think your particular choice is better.

Starting with me, I've had an Xbone for the last 6 months and I love it. I think it's a great media machine as well as a good gaming console. I've had a blast with Titanfall and Forza. Being able to receive messages, see when friends get online and talk with friends while I'm watching TV is one of the things I love most about it. I am also a huge fan of the voice command system. I hope that in the future Microsoft expands on it.

On the flip side though, I just bought a PS4 a little over two weeks ago and I have played it more in that duration than i have my Xbox One games in the last few months. Visually I used to not really be able to see a huge difference in the graphics each had (and i still don't) but the PS4 does have a slight advantage in the graphics department but it's not enough to say "OMGZZZ SOOOOO MUCH BETTER GRAPHICS! LOLXBONE!!!!"
Playstation Plus has blown me away and I didn't think it would be as nice as it has been. I really love the layout of the main screen and the Playstation store. The only thing I don't like is the lack of avatars that the Xbox One has. And when you compare the free games on PS4 compared to the Xbox One, there isn't a competition. PS4 wins by a long shot. Not to mention that the PS4 has better games out right now with Infamous, The Show and a few others that I'm forgetting I'm sure.

Overall right now I'm having more fun with the PS4 than the Xbox One. Because I just feel like Sony has put in more time in their gaming department than Microsoft has this generation. The PS4 has the superior games right now. That may change in the future, I know, but if you are looking to buy a next generation console and are on the fence, I'd say go with Playstation for now.

**Opinion is subject to change in the future when more updates and games release.

I played Battlefield 4 on both last weekend and I agree it looks slightly better on the PS4 but I don't think it's anything huge though. That's just my opinion though. I can see why people would go after the console that runs better graphics no matter by how much or little a difference there is.

Same. I was an Xbox 360 guy since it was released as well. Love Microsoft and the Xbox One but I think the PS4 has them beat right now.

Same here. Unless it's also on PC and it's First-Person. I don't think I'd like Watch Dogs or the like on PC.

It all depends though. Xbox won my living room, PS4 won my gaming room.

The perfect way to describe it.

My PS4 has reclaimed my living room with The Show. I still get plenty of use out of my DVR, too, though.

Because of the mouse/keyboard controls? I'm wondering the same. A lot of people on PC already use Xbox, PS, or a third-party gamepad for games like the Arkham series, GTA, Sleeping Dogs, Assassin's Creed, etc. I've been using M/KB since I was 5, so it never bothered me, but from what I've been reading about Watch Dogs, particularly the mechanics of driving a vehicle, I'm wondering if I should just buy an xbox controller for the analog controls. I might find I enjoy it for other games as well (non-FPS games), once I get used to it.

(sorry to hijack the thread. Wasn't coming here to get all master-racy. Just curious about the controller aspect).

PS4 for me. Got XB1 on release. XB1 is good for a entertainment I guess with what it brings but when it comes to consoles the PS4 is superior spec wise and in the end I cared more about gaming and graphics than I did entermaintment things.

Oh you're not. Don't worry. I was mainly just referring to the people that are complete asses about PC in the OP

I'm sure I will eventually get both, especially if the Xbone comes down price.

I think I read somewhere that the DS4 is PC friendly. I'm accustomed to that controller over the Xbox so hopefully I can use that.

How is the PS4 controller? I had both a PS3 and xbox 360, and ended up playing pretty much solely on 360 because its controller was light years more comfortable and easier to use. I never would have though it would be such a big factor for me but it was. I have a xbone now but planning on eventually having both for the exclusives, but really hoping they made a better controller.

I was 360 guy also and hated PS3 controller. PS4 controller is great. Perfect size for hand and triggers are much better. XB1 controller the RB and LB are brutal IMO from when I had it.

Yes you can use the ds4 controller. I used that for playing AC4 on the PC. It works perfectly although you have to translate the xbox buttons to the PS equivilant.
